  1. Not EBAY but This isn't that far from me and I have the cash but .................... The Loco AGHHHHHHHHHH............................
  2. It's not just that simple. Even ignoring someone deciding to change the numbers or rules again the international money markets can throw a spanner in the works. Lets say that the order comes to $780 when shipping. A 0.025% change in the £ to $ exchange rates wile the item is in transit might push the amount over the $800 and thus incur the different rule.
  3. And some more that are not listed for the Irish Narrow Gaugge modeller, Model Engine Works, Mannin Models, NDrive Productions,
  4. The only Import duty is the VAT other than for such as Tobacco and Alcohol (Hence Duty Free lounge at Airports for certain amounts eg= The Diminimis value) )and Fuels (Usually only imported by large multinationals as somehow a carry on Jerry Can is not a good idea and it is a banned substance on the postal service. ) which have extra excise duties And yes even when buying smaller amounts from a retailer (eg Petrol at a forecourt) we have to pay Vat on the Total (Product Cost + Excise Duty) + VAT = Total Price There may or may not be adjustments of product price along the line but a Tariff cost is not paid by anyone until it gets to the US so the Chinese supplier may charge less but they will not at any point pay a Tariff.
  5. We Europeans have known for years what VAT is, Yes we pay it on just about everything when we buy something. IT is the equivalent of the Sales Tax in the US but is levied by central government not individual States, Counties, Departements or whatever else the country concerned calls its smaller administrative sections. Oh and by the way we also have a minimum value upon which VAT is claimed on an imported package. Your last part does not make sense, If a bulk order goes to Europe it therefore has nothing to do with the US and no US Tarrif is therefore involved. If it is then sent on to the US then it does come under US Tarrif rules and if there is a Diminimis then that would apply if the value of the package once it arrives in the US is under that. Going through another Country and or being increased or decreased in size along the way is totally irrelevant as IT IS ONLY WHEN IT REACHES THE US THAT THE TARRIF APPLIES.
  6. It is not that the product is 30% more expensive. The product price is the product price. Americans are paying 30% more because of the Tarrif imposed by Trump and this is collected by the US Why blame (and expect the manufacturer to suffer) for something that is done by Trump.
  7. Yeah, He's obviously missed the 1 between the £ and the 6...................................................
  8. The Mango "King" hopes they don't work it out
  9. I would doubt that would work when the shipment might be a whole container load.
  10. For those that have not got a clue.
  11. @irishthump Are you related to Ecky or Icky ?
  12. I don't bother with Pizzas, besides the freezers a full already. Mark.(AKA the deer hunter
  13. Or cartoons in the papers of "The Grinch sitting behind a big desk IN THE OVAL OFFICE come Christmas....."
  14. Oooh Yes please...... There's plenty to have a go at. And OOn3 is true scale ...........
  15. I can only attest to the Bartoline branded TX10 as shown at B&M and also available at the Range. Apparently There is another brand of TX10 (Volden TX10) available from B&Q NOTE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS WILL DO TO PLASTIC
  16. As I said, Works fine on removing Paint. Just wash off with water and soft brush. You would have to forget that you had put a plastic model in it, (for over a week minimum) to do any damage.
  17. Latest (PAINT) stripper of choice . TX10 from B&M Also available elsewhere. Used to strip some heavy gloss from an old whitemetal kit, which it did with ease. What surprised me was it did not affect the acetate sheet glazing. So tried on other plastics. Only after leaving in for 2 full weeks did I detect any softening of (the sacrificial) Plastic Sprue!
  18. I'm sure I've read they had it. Still don't always believe what you read!
  19. And it came (Second Hand) from the County Donegal Railway (At the same time as the Walker Railcars 19 & 20), Made from the frames of a Class 5. As for a car turntable, I saw one years ago in Scarbrough (Near the North Bay / Peasholme Park.)
  20. You do need square end axles for Scale Link and 3SMR but as @murrayec has said you can sleeve them if split. I am aware of 12mm, 14.2mm, 16.5mm, but have not looked for longer. (They may exist though but 21mm is even more obscure than OOn3!)
  21. Hi means having to join to buy but 3mm Scale Model Railways TT Wheels As for axles to suit 21mm, I don't know but I've never looked. Component wise, 3SMR 3mm Scale Model Railways TT LOCOMOTIVE SECTION Just ignore the fact that they are made for 3mm and find a size that suits, All measurements are actual.
  22. @josh_ Not books but online This forum. Prototype Drawings - Resource Library - Irish Railway Modeller
  23. More so if the relative has no idea or interest and brings in a dealer to clear the collection. Yet suddenly change again when they offer them for sale.
  24. Hi @Mol_PMB You pointed him to a PDF of my plans (I sent all the Backwoods 00n3 Range through to EDM for the archive) Mark. As for plans I'm drawing a blank but there is the Alphagraphix card kit E11 IRISH NARROW GAUGE | alphagraphixkits.co.uk 7mm scale but both sides front back roof etc printed on heavy card. Just measure and work from that. @Ted54 What scale are you thinking of? Scratch aid kit in brass is available from Worsley Works in 4mm and 15mm
