Accurascale Welcomes Stuart Brown On Board!
commerlad replied to Warbonnet's topic in British Outline Modelling
Oooh Yes please...... There's plenty to have a go at. And OOn3 is true scale ........... -
I can only attest to the Bartoline branded TX10 as shown at B&M and also available at the Range. Apparently There is another brand of TX10 (Volden TX10) available from B&Q NOTE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS WILL DO TO PLASTIC
-
As I said, Works fine on removing Paint. Just wash off with water and soft brush. You would have to forget that you had put a plastic model in it, (for over a week minimum) to do any damage.
-
Latest (PAINT) stripper of choice . TX10 from B&M Also available elsewhere. Used to strip some heavy gloss from an old whitemetal kit, which it did with ease. What surprised me was it did not affect the acetate sheet glazing. So tried on other plastics. Only after leaving in for 2 full weeks did I detect any softening of (the sacrificial) Plastic Sprue!

I'm sure I've read they had it. Still don't always believe what you read! -
And We Thought Only Locos Used Turn Tables!
commerlad replied to murrayec's topic in Letting off Steam
And it came (Second Hand) from the County Donegal Railway (At the same time as the Walker Railcars 19 & 20), Made from the frames of a Class 5. As for a car turntable, I saw one years ago in Scarbrough (Near the North Bay / Peasholme Park.) -
Driving Wheel availability (4mm scale Irish steam locos)
commerlad replied to Mol_PMB's question in Questions & Answers
You do need square end axles for Scale Link and 3SMR but as @murrayec has said you can sleeve them if split. I am aware of 12mm, 14.2mm, 16.5mm, but have not looked for longer. (They may exist though but 21mm is even more obscure than OOn3!) -
Driving Wheel availability (4mm scale Irish steam locos)
commerlad replied to Mol_PMB's question in Questions & Answers
Hi means having to join to buy but 3mm Scale Model Railways TT Wheels As for axles to suit 21mm, I don't know but I've never looked. Component wise, 3SMR 3mm Scale Model Railways TT LOCOMOTIVE SECTION Just ignore the fact that they are made for 3mm and find a size that suits, All measurements are actual. -
More so if the relative has no idea or interest and brings in a dealer to clear the collection. Yet suddenly change again when they offer them for sale.

Hi @Mol_PMB You pointed him to a PDF of my plans (I sent all the Backwoods 00n3 Range through to EDM for the archive) Mark. As for plans I'm drawing a blank but there is the Alphagraphix card kit E11 IRISH NARROW GAUGE | alphagraphixkits.co.uk 7mm scale but both sides front back roof etc printed on heavy card. Just measure and work from that. @Ted54 What scale are you thinking of? Scratch aid kit in brass is available from Worsley Works in 4mm and 15mm

Hi Eduard, It's really a Loco (Not Railcar) as no passenger seating is provided. Started out life on the Clogher Valley as a Steam Loco, but was changed to Diesel when taken over by the County Donegal. As for plans , I need to think.

Cross-border Railway Connections events planned for Derry & Donegal
commerlad replied to spudfan's topic in What's On?
He just needs a hi vis vest and a backpack. -
I mainly use mine for working from scratch off different scale plans. Picked up in a charity shop in Beer, Near Peco, Still wonder if it came from 1 of their designers originally.

A real box of live frogs. So much better to have live frogs than dead ones, The loco's don't stall on the points so often.

Why did I immediately think of Patrick McGoohan Ah that was it.

First off. What Scale. Secondly, I presume you mean "America" The Flak wagons were specially converted coaches, And you are going to have to seriously butcher some decent coaching stock and 2cm Flakvierling 38 kits Pics here at about 5 mins Hitler's train was a rolling fortress named after America And at the beginning of this one Bing Videos not the typical gun mounted on old wagon. or even the armoured of which examples of both, and choices of scale are available on EBAY.

Was nice to see the layout behaving itself. Well I suppose I can't be pleased all of the time. -
Right to save the question again, You need 1 each. 4-40309 County Donegal (Style) Railcar Long Cab. Contents, Cab front 1, Cab front lower valance 1, cab sides 2, roof 1 4-40307 County Donegal (Style) Articulated Railcar Body. Contents, Body sides 2, doors 4, body rear 1, roof 1. For each railcar (These are from the original moulds as MTK still run Busses and Coaches from most of the old Anbrico Range). The parts you do get are therefore exactly the same as you would get in the Anbrico box and can be freely interchanged, Parts from Anbrico kit not included in either of above. Trailer floor 1, Trailer seats 3 (left section, right section, rear bench), Front Bogie 1, Rear Bogie 1, Wheel Sets 4 axles, 1 bag (contents, Cab Headlight, small screws and electrical contact parts), Acetate for Windows. Parts list and Assembly Diagram. Edit Forgot to mention the bits of old newspaper and tissue used as wrapping.
