  1. No bother my good man. I just have nothing better to do!
  2. Absolutely! Would've been great to be on that. Princess Coronations chuck out around 3,300hp and Castles are known to be strong performers. Would've loved to be on that. Another video of the tour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c2dfAE9JxU
  3. I know, I've seen models with Bachmann drive train and body with Hornby cabs. A lot of work but nice end product.
  4. David, Thank you for your post. As you can see this is where these issues can arise. Mark is associated with D&M Models (sorry, I got the name wrong previously) and his comments here will be tarred with that brush. How are we to know otherwise unless it's stated? How is Eoin to know otherwise? I was pointing out how these things can happen. We encourage constructive feedback but cheap shots are not tolerated. End of. The comment was sent in the public domain as we show transparency. Others have drawn the same conclusions which is why the issue is addressed. You post clears things up which is great so we can now move on and let this thread be about the DART model only. I hope the point about how being involved with a manufacturer can give you added responsibility. Let's move on now please.
  5. Some of the more hardcore British outline modellers say it's a better model than the newer Bachmann one for body accuracy, especially the cab area... Nice job on the weathering!
  6. Lads I moved this to the non trains area as it ain't about trains!
  7. Killucan2, I think that can be construed as a cheap put down. We would ask you not to use this site as a platform to run down any other manufacturer. As someone who helps David you have a duty under the umbrella of a manufacturer to show common courtesy to other makers. We are hear to encourage all Irish model makers so please refrain from such comments in the future. Now if you want DK Model Makers to gain an unfriendly reputation and put down others then you are free to do so elsewhere, but please do not use this site as a platform for that. We are here to encourage all manufacturers and not show favouritism to any particular group. We would ask you as being involved with a manufacturer to exercise responsibility and show some respect. If you would like to discuss further you can PM myself, any of the other mods or the site owner. The last thing we want to do is begin moderating your comments or start issuing bans. We will now ask for the conversation to move on please.
  8. Great tribute. Have my old man to thank for this financially crippling affliction of a hobby!
  9. Which of course is your opinion. Please show some common courtesy to a fellow model manufacturer and refrain from cheap put downs please.
  10. Now that's what you call a steam special. Castle and Dutchess in tandem over Shap.
  11. And a bit of Bjork. Enjoy!
  12. I'd say so. They look the biz.
  13. I'd just go with 077 Seamus. The rest of that number is nonsense. Great catch. I've still to see a grey one in the metal!
  14. I am. PM me Closetmodeller and see if we can arrange something.
  15. Would be interested. Where are you based? Feel free to PM me.
  16. Did seeing a limited edition model of just 250 pieces being weathered break your heart? Well done Anthony, keep breaking them hearts!
  17. Once they're owned by someone else they're second hand, that's what the market states really. I would think around a score for all three. Mind you I'm tight and not a trader!
  18. Lets not take Anthony's workbench topic off course with needless stirring please. Thank you.
  19. IMHO you're asking about 30-40% too much but best of luck with selling them. Hope you get your price.
  20. I understand, just reinforcing your point. When I lived there I travelled up to York to see it. Pissed all over the then recently revamped London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. Never did get into Acton mind you, even when working but a stones throw away from the depot. Would've been much more interesting I bet.
  21. Imagine how much a site for it would cost in London? If they even charged a couple of quid admission it would surely help?
  22. Top notch as per.
  23. Absolutely! And if you want a relatively cheap Genny now you may get a recent Murphys release of the Galway Mark II.
