  1. I think this might be one left to the respray boys. All the repaints I've seen so far have been exceptional and have looked after the grab iron removal...
  2. The last thing we need to know about is members fiddly bits!
  3. You have a PM should himself not be interested!
  4. Top job!
  5. Warbonnet

    MK3 Scrapping

They were doing their best to flog them off to DB Regio but to no avail.
  6. Keep an eye on RMWeb for chassis units. There was a 37 up today but it just sold. Been a few recently. Vitrains might be an option for you too. Their 37 is cheap and runs really well.
  7. Later Lima and current Hornby Railroad class 20s have plastic bogies. Hornby one has the best motor, DCC ready too. If you go upmarket the Bachmann one is a great runner, but it would be hard to hack up the chassis being diecast etc.
  8. Would an Athearn sw1500 not be a better fit than an SD45, roof contour etc? An SD45 is very angular. Or horror of horrors use a 141 chassis?
  9. A man of great taste! Best British steam loco ever built (I reckon I'll get some stick for that!) Bassett Lowke?
  10. I'm sure they had their reasons and this isn't the place to speculate otherwise.
  11. Currently in administration. But then lots of companies do it to get cheaper rent etc. and come out the other side. HMV being one high profile example. Modelzone and the signal box have been linked for some years now.
  12. Alco more or less done. Crappy pics but all that is needed to do now is fit the numberboards and off to the paint shop! Runs like a dream too....
  13. Very sad for the victim, the driver and their families.
  14. Great footage Southern Yard. The third shot over Doncaster was very train set-esque!
  15. Unbelievable scenes Richie! Looks like I wasn't too far off with that Dapol Interfrigo kit?
  16. I didn't even see it until you said it and I put it at full screen. Poor bunny!
  17. Two topics on the same subject merged. Please only start one topic instead of multiple ones so we can keep the answers all in one place. Thanks.
  18. Well played lads, PR gurus!
  19. Thanks. Recently aquired some Marklin sets. One for the very occasional collecting I think of favourite European locos. I blame you and this thread!
  20. Great little book. Love the As!
  21. They sounds great with a heavy load like that, much better than on a couple of flasks. Hopefully they'll continue using them on it.
  22. Excellent stuff man!
  23. DRS have been using pairs of their Class 37s on one of their regular container gigs over the past week or two. Sound awesome. Some videos... Gotta love tractors!
  24. Good man Richie, hope the exams went well. Useful tool, much like meself!
  25. As Ben says yes they do. Too many things running around with 645s in them to this day not to. Parts for the 567 engine as found in 121s and 141s are still being made, and the 567 was first introduced in 1938!
