  1. Ahhhhh so that’s where the blue thunder tour ended up…. I’m in the same boat as DJ…seriously? I know NIR have basically no use for em but a 111 would be the first of its kind to be preserved…and a big undertaking in itself Or is 112 the number ye guys will have to dial when photographers from all over Ireland descend on maam cross on opening day
  2. Well we know of the Ruston 88ds…..will it be able to pull all the stock coming it’s way….
  3. There mustn’t be very much stuff left that is “GSR livery appropriate” perhaps we can import some Pullman’s and put some 5,3 bogeys under them…
  4. 813 looks great in that livery, however if it’s going to maam cross I imaging a coat of GSR livery will be applied once the apropriate TLC has been applied
  5. If I went up to IE and offered them that for the real 230 in its current state….they’d throw in a mark 3 to sweeten the deal!
  6. While the handrail adds to the authenticity…perhaps fixing it would be worth it. Mine had similar issues but it went back in with little to any fuss and has been perfectly level and sturdy ever since
  7. I’m just looking forward to the Bachmann CIE fertiliser wagons
  8. Time to Re-spray the cravens
  9. Changed it to orange…like I was meant to say nah those 29000s will stay in that livery as long as people are willing to complain about it
  10. There is a man out west here who lives in a railway coach, couldn’t tell you where it came from though ill buy those CMDR coaches off the dungarvan greenway, and sink money into em like there is no tommorow I know CIE are against putting any passenger stock in orangeagain as that associates with the “old” image green however….well that’s a whole other story
  11. My dad said my generation will be living in container homes…. I wonder in 20 years times will I be living in a mark 4
  12. Secrets ehh i know a heuston driver that told me ******
  13. It’s strange seeing relatively modern equipment that far west!
  14. Possibly the “30 tonne van” that fiacra saw just seen it land on maam cross on Facebook so it has to be
  15. When a preservation society rescues it number 90 style in 20 years time….then you can have yer orange
  16. Regardless it’s probobly out by maam cross anyway (which is still a small trip from where you are anyway) twill probobly be fairly easy to spot I wonder is it restored fully? could have also been a something else I am think off….did it have any tint of yellow?
  17. I think only a tight group know what there actually getting We know there getting a former CSE Ruston, a bulleid wagon, a 30 tonne brakevan (presumably also Ex-Halfway vintage club as there one has been missing for years)it may also mean the GSR 6 wheel coach the halfway vintage club had could also being going there even though twas in bad shape last time I saw it move …all these peices are EX GSRPS @Fiacra did the brake van look anything like this one here certain items the RPSI don’t use will be going there, these I shan’t disclose but they all make sense They will also be receiving stuff from IE. I won’t disclose what but I think you can guess what it is
  18. In the days where you just run to the other end of the cab…does it matter that much? twill be interesting to see the tailte tour reverse out of killarney
  19. For those who feared that ireland would be “mark 3 free” executive coach number 7161 is heading for newcastle west for a resteraunt coach there…..as captured by Andrew goodman I must say…..Depite the fact it has 2 snails for some reason….this is a truly excellent peice of preservation
  20. I didn’t know IRM produced factory weathered 1:1 scale ballast wagons..or produce a Dcc sound chip that has a “shout get off yer arse” option
  21. Stunning wagon my open wagons are just primer grey with white snails. All dapol 6 plank wagons as you can get them cheaply enough unpainted
  22. I don’t know how much I can tell but it’s the mk3 executive coach…and it’s in a livery it never wore in service…
  23. If you input the .co.uk website for IRM into the searchbar. Will it bring you to the accurascale website by default?
  24. You could always go to the whitehead railway museum or the museum of transport off the Bangor line. open to correction but the 111s are pretty sparingly used in the north
