IRM At The Dublin Show 2022 - Just What Will We Announce?
Westcorkrailway replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
I’d love if 00 works went through some more obscure steam locos and such that would never be made by a manufacture. Imagine if they made an SLNC 0-6-4 which you can’t even get in 00 form as a kit as far as a I know….or a certain 4-6-0T Cork and Macroom railway inspection car confirmed?!?!?? -
I rememember a certain forum member selling one for half that
-
The print quality is somewhere in between JM designs quality and a sanded down normal print. You can see how smooth some features like the water tanks turned out Considering there is no brass option currently for number 90. This is probobly the definitive way to go about making one at the moment. The same guy is making a Bandon tank model with hopes of using a similar chassis with B12 bogeys. It will be interesting to compare this bandon tank shell with my brass shell that I made last year
-
I wouldn’t wish this on any manufacturer…….How much damage we reckon was done here!

If you thaught the number was odd just look at the wheel arrangement I must admit it looks really nice…I don’t know if the C class ever ran in Tippex though -
Finished up number 90 now, and while she may be tall. The old lady is looking pretty alright (these photos make her look monstrously high but she’s about the same height as an Adams radial and smaller then an A class) this photo shows how nice it ended up looking The back (still need to shorten the chassis) With a prototypical beet rake with a post 55 green coach
-
this zoomed in screenshot of one from Ernie’s flicker page shows the difference between how the look in colour photos covered in grime, and what the livery actually looked like underneath that paint
-
I’ll bring it in person to the Swap meet on December 3rd, along with the rest of my conversions made in this thread if any of ye rivet counters want something to gawk at
-
Have found a solution to the chassis though it will need little cutting… however it will still be a very tall 90! the first 2 decals on….8 to go

I think so too, though I don’t have a way of contacting him -
They will be selling at the cork swap meet for €60 I’m told
-
As part of the deal for the AEC railcars. I managed to get a number 90 print and a suitable chassis, and while the chassis needs a bit of work. Number 90 is well underway.

I think I have seen a photo of a green AEC railcar at mallow with the caption “heading for Fermoy” however absolutely don’t quote me on that speaking of AEC railcars look at this one…spotless condition next to 201 and 552! (Although if I’m right there I’d a bit of that GSR grey coming through at the end of the water tank on 201) 201 was later on repainted into CIE black for the IRRS courtmacsherry tour I wish Silver-fox painted my one in that post 55 green, I might have even held on to it longer! -

Not when murphy models are supposed to be making them at some stage soon -
I won’t be selling, and presumably not swapping any Railway Models. But the ones I do have will be on display for the craic. Have to fill the table somehow
-
I’m case anyone is interested…I’m informed there are 4 tables left worth €10 each. if your in cork that weekend, free admission is hard to pass up!

This did happen with the mark 2 announcement, litterally no one put in a good guess. that footbridge project from a while back is the only other thing that springs to mind not that I can afford to talk, my Silver fox AEC railcars are being sold tommorow because I can’t afford to keep them!! -

They could be hiding maroon mark 2s somewhere….I’d like to remind you it’s not the first time a certain livery has been hiding in the secret stash at IRM towers (A3r)! -
"They never ran like that" (Ballast train fun)
Westcorkrailway replied to Niles's topic in What's happening on the network?
Yknow this is perfect marketing for selling models even though “it never ran like that” I’d argue running like that in preservation fits the bill -
