  1. Yknow this is perfect marketing for selling models even though “it never ran like that” I’d argue running like that in preservation fits the bill
  2. 3! at least spread them out between 3 different eras to save us 1 kidney! I suppose it’s time for predictions….probobly the biggest shot in the dark yet. powered C class hunslet AEC railcar unpowered Park Royals ammonia wagon laminates timber wagon maybe a CIE van simular to the banana wagons we saw earlier on this month it will also be nice to see some of the decorated samples of things we already know are coming in the pipeline
  3. Yeah I saw they have S&S, CBPR and CMLR locos all in the works or finished it’s not ideal but it’s still a whole lot better then plastic red, plastic yellow and plastic blue
  4. These are going to looks class once painted….they already looks unbelievable
  5. The new church of drimoleague always stands out in these shots, also good for approx dat
  6. Now I want to see it done!
  7. Excellent! I booked my tickets from cork this morning getting the train up but the aircoach back due to the engineering works
  8. digital property is the most mind boggling…..paying for non tangible items I can’t wrap my head around….shame as I’m sure we could all make some serious money if we knew!
  9. Up until recently, the most expensive video game item was 32,000 for a sealed copy is super Mario Bros (1985). Now it’s up to 2 or 3 million. the main change seems to be a heavy dos of money laundering next they’ll be money laundering with 071’s!
  10. A LOT of foreign loco power was used on the CBSC. The F6, J26 ect. Along with foreign vehicles. From midland coaches to GNR open wagons. I think the very last bandon coaches were withdrawn in the late 50s. Maybe even 1960 and they were only kept for the courtmacsherry excursions as the curves were challenging I know the CMDR purchased a tank engine of the the DSER. This had the funny effect of 2 identical locos being designated DIFFERENT classes under amalgamation. If you go further back the west cork purchased a lot of GSWR stock 2nd hand in the early days. An Ex L&LSR 5’3 engine was converted from 0-6-0 to 2-4-0 for the kinsale branch. on the opposite end of the spectrum. A few bandon tanks had a vacation on Dublin commuter trains. 1 or two never returning. This is when we got a Bandon tank in Green livery…something I’d love to see modelled accurately
  11. I knew I’d paid too much for that 071 on ebay
  12. I’m always contemplating doing that as well. There is a bandon tank, an F6, a J26, J30, Agrideen and mologa in “big” scale I hear rumours of a C class 3D print too and as you say, plenty of coaches the only thing holding me back is building the stock….and the track!
  13. It’s blue with a YELLOW line.
  14. AW NO! im going to regret not buying that in a few years…but collage has just started so argadeen shall have to be sidelined lovely model but alas, it dosnt look right not being weathered!
  15. I can go to Dublin on the train early on the 29th, will have to take the bus home!
  16. If anyone wants to make a large meuseum spec layout. You could have Kent station (already a daunting task) Albert quay (also a daunting tank) and link them up with the cork city railway. Which isint impossible in my head. The cork city railway isint that long. mind you if it had stayed open. I could imagine a world where Albert quay is dissused and the train goes through the streets like Wexford to terminate at Kent. You could even fit in a stop at Parnell place bus station and the air coach bus station! Alas My imagination has ran away again
  17. Tom Ryan never recalls anything like an E class going over there when he was around. I imagine post 1961 it was all C/141. With the one A class in 1962 being the exception
  18. So…where is the secret barn you’ve been hiding your 5’3 Jinty under straw bales for years.
  19. Fairly few photos of the diesel shunters at Albert quay on the internet. Which is a bit strange as they were used a decent amount.
  20. Well thankfully, not much has to be done to get an LMS jinty looking like an NCC one no need for all this big horrah about new toolings for small markets And if JB is to be believed….there research wasn’t even thorough enough to get the correct colour of lining
  21. Unless your website deals in transactions…I’d almost find that level of dedication humorous! 100 percent wheatever they had, they’d paid far to much for it….and sh*t hit the fan when d’experts came in what’s more worrying is that’s where the flying snail mark 3 is going…….it’s about to get scrapped peice by peice!
  22. Now that’s about as wierd as it gets….until the Leader class releases….or better yet the turfburner What inaccuracies does it have?
  23. I understand people buying some of these….others I can’t. There was a C&BR one going around which actually is an abreviation for an Irish railway….and I think that wagon plate could fool somone too this sign is clearly meant to have been a one off commission to commemorate where something WAS!
  24. Honestly the one at the car boot sale looks like it’s been outside for years……I wonder if that’s the one that’s gone missing
  25. Yes, as far as I know it’s going to adare or newcastle west
