  1. Update straight from the source for those wondering the CIE green bus that was once located here has now been permanently moved. I don’t know Where but hopefully a good home. The Ruston was moved along with the bulleid beet wagon to rathpeacon, and then onto where it is today. the 6 wheel coach has been moved to a secret location within cork, I understand it’s in quite good shape with a very good owner. (And as a coach that worked in West Cork, I’d love to see it again). the brakevan had moved to a location halfway up the country. While I can’t disclose anything I took this photo out the top window of the bus as a child, I never thaught the bus was going anywhere! it even had my favourite livery. The last time I saw it there was earlier this year… the track started just in front of this Ruston. I’m told it was mechanically very good. cosmetically not so good. The end of the track, what was only supposed to be a temporary set up anyway….to think there was a heritage railway at my doorstep. And I was just a few years too late to take advantage of it
  2. Certainly feels like that now Tis a shame there is engineering works on the cork line this weekend, makes things difficult
  3. No, it was corkonian after many pints! imagine me trying to find Palmerston tommorow!
  4. 0700 to Dublin, luas, dart to Palmerstown. Plenty of time for grub then get the Dart back to Tara street and get the bus home…at either 4 or 8 o clock.
  5. Top tip: If your on DC. Use one of these sheets for your controller
  6. I’m looking forward to the announcements more then anything…other then those Tara’s, I don’t see myself buying anything…unless there are some “green and grey” era stuff (as @jhb171achill has christened it) I won’t be interested in a whole pile. I’d like to see what tailte tours are up to next, see these murphy’s toolings ect. besides I can’t afford to be throwing 1000 euro at some models….well the bandon tanks are an exception to the rule
  7. so even hattons are scalping Irish stuff!?!?
  8. I recommend if you’d like some more info you can read the thread below. the very start and the very end have the most info. Much of which is from reliable sources. And not just your average internet rumours. @Warbonnetcorrectly pointed out that the mark 2s would be the first to be produced PM usually does not tend to update the website a lot and usually announced things this way.
  9. Great news. I’ll look on in interest I think IFM make some of these vans now, I’ve been meaning to see if he would make a sample in silver
  10. When was that, the early 2000s 201 or the early 2010s upgraded version?
  11. Me hopes the same! But probobly in a slightly different way This photo on eBay from railway images uk contains some familiar coaching stock and a certain loco that’s id like to see in the near future however it’s been hinted at it might not be one of these, but plenty of other Blue (or in my case green) things it could possibly be
  12. I had to do the same thing if it’s any consultation!
  13. Which means either demand has gone up, or scalpers love to scalp, or a combination of both I’d like to think that it’s the demand!
  14. I’ve decided to take 2 packs. Enough to make a full train on my small layout already a bargain from raheeny and we aren’t even there yet
  15. Has there ever been a more mad morning in Irish modelling history?
  16. How many of these are closely guarded at the Fort Knox basement of IRM towers? There will be such a large queue outside raheeny…you’ll have to make a quota per person!
  17. And aren’t accurascale already making Sub-urban mark 1s
  18. Indeed I’ve had 3 people offer 141 locos in the 120-140 range…amazingly I managed to get a 141 with DCC from Germany for an extraordinary price, for which I'm forever thankful . it actually works out at being my cheapest loco I have ever purchased…and some of mine are 2nd hand with no DCC! Not at all, I’m genuinely curious is all! I was potentially taking a leap into another era of models if they were hence the interest. Paddy has had enough people whinging, I wish not be another one! At Inchicore works I did tell him I’d love a 141 to come out once again. good news for IRM too. If I had not had a 141 at this stage there is a good chance I may not have pre-ordered the Fertiliser wagons. Now that I have one (and by the looks of things a few more will finally have one. A few IRM wagons may start selling out a bit faster…
  19. I say it as in an announcement like this I’d expect some word about them? Again I have all day saterday to enquire about them….
  20. To quote Ed Fahey “this isint like the stock market, it’s only going to go up.”
  21. Don’t get me wrong, 2 years ago when I was only starting out I was begging for a re-run of a 141! Now since I have one I’m less so! Hopefully they make 142 as that’s a exact 141 I was going to make out of my 141
  22. Had me wondering. What has become of the 201s, mark 3s, ect. Presumably we will find out when we ask ourselves saterday
  23. Guess it being updated Infamous for being sams trains favourite website
  24. EBay scalpers a sweating as we speak!
