I have given up on railmatch 307 early multiple unit green for now because one 15ml tin of paint costs 30 euros to ship im going to give humbrol 2 emerald green gloss from marks . Which will more then likely look like the wrong green, But it is very like the post 1956 CIE green.

I’ve been waiting 4 days for an sms/email/letter from them. might give this Twitter trick a go! My silverfox railcars are getting dusty in there sorting office and I owe them about an A class worth of customs charges (thanks brexit)

We have progressed a small bit since the initial bit of this thread. But upon realising that he would likely have to make up the chassis from complete scratch. We shelved the project in the meantime I do have (most!) of the SSM Bandon tank kit. With the same idea of just lobbing a chassis under it so no need to buy any motor or wheels or any of that…..or at least in my mind at the time
-
Might be best to leave it for a while. My fella spent a long time bollocking around with fitting chassis to loco shells with the Bandon tank (which I still need to try out a Fowler 4F chassis under!) it was just getting depressing so we stopped development for a bit. You may never come back to it, but don’t get rid of it. Start out something else on your to do list in the meantime

A30 and A46 look like a good match together! Surely my A30 is due this week at this stage I spose IRM auta put the name of this thread into all caps, for those who don’t get the message! it’s quite in this case as A46 was the only loco to have the dark lined green livery (I think) and IRM said they won’t be repeating any running numbers if a Re-Release ever were to happen in years to come. (And to be fair. From a business standpoint that’s the only way to do it)

Cork & Macroom coaches
Westcorkrailway replied to jhb171achill's topic in Photos & Videos of the Prototype
It’s too bad the owner has tried to flog these on for mad prices, I just don’t understand how I missed them when I went in the greenway! in a world where I had unlimited funds. these two would be behind no.90 on the DCDR. But these will most likely be left there forever. Maybe getting these knackered coach bodies to cork is within reason -
Amen to that . Mostly 1960s oriented with a huge percentage of that going to west cork!

Small terminus like kinsale, courtmacsherry and Baltimore on the CBSC spring to mind

JM Design CIE 20T Goods Brake Livery variations
Westcorkrailway replied to Mayner's topic in JM Design
Amen, by the time the website was set up. The version my layout requires (earliest version) was sold out. Understandable if it’s a one time run though. -
I was thinking that. I assume anything past 3 in my transfer pack is effectively useless! would 2 or 3 have been used for the standard class?
-
Another question that I need to ask, what to the numbers on the coaches represent? For instance this CBSCR coach has all 3’s but some have 2’s or 1’s, some are mixed and some even seem to have no number at all.

If you’re legally blind and squint, It looks a bit like a Jeep in GNR blue!

Further experimentation and learning My railtec transfers arived and while initially they looked like the wrong the colour, once applied to the actual model they turned out in a very accurate looking colour. Took 15 seconds (not like 15 minutes with the white ones!) to remove and we’re well able to to apply them with my rudimentary set up on a Dapol 5 plank wagon Silverfox have told me the green they used on my C class and my AEC railcar set which is currently in the post uses Railmatch 307 BR Early Multiple Unit Green. Upon comparing eau de nil to this green, I may as well match it hastily photoshopped the snail onto C212. You can see how EDN compares to silverfox transfers

Looks a good size for a west cork turntable.
