  1. I am glad my cameraman skills are better Shem, and I hope I am doing the A class sound proud with these videos. If I am up your way in the future I will bring A39 up to give her a run on your layout.
  2. Yes you are right that is a steel block on that photo as it came from another SF 001 loco.Anthony is right as regard lead because I tryed the loco on a friends layout that has a incline and she struggled big time with a small load. The loco ran fine as you can see in the latest video as I have a flat surface. At some stage in the future I may add more weight.Anthony did tell me the extra weight makes a big difference as he has some cracking inclines on his layout.
  3. I forgot to ask PM what DCC chip will the new 071s take?. Did anyone else ask him?.
  4. Watch him sprint up Mt Ventoux-incredible stuff when we know how he did it.Even Phil Liggett says he has never seen anything like the power!. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXPXHK7I1iQ&feature=related
  5. Well I suppose it all was too good to be true. He says he did not take drugs as he was only peddling-lol.
  6. Top notch Noel, nice to see a video of your layout.more more Please.
  7. I got a quick video of A39 with a short goods train on the new layout that I am building these last few months for a local vintage day in september. This is the first test train and I have discovered a few problems that need sorting out with clearance etc.
  8. It makes you wonder do truck drivers forget what they have behind them as regards height and with and lenth.

  14. God no bother, and thanks for posting this in the first place as it show what is now history.Glad ye like the photos and indeed I agree this crossing was the most scenic in the country and why the line was never preserved Going back 20 years when it was intact is beyond me.
  15. I remember you saying that the new Murphy 201s are not quite right in the fuel tank area, what is the difference do you remember. Eamonn
  16. I would agree with you Rich on the 121s,as I would want the 121s closer to production than more 201s to be done.Paddy did say that the 121s are about one or two years away and he said that his own sound chip is on the cards as well.
  17. Fantastic video, and thanks for posting Ciaran.
  18. Sadly-30 years on from the video, this is the view near where the a class and wagons was shown in the video with Dungarvan bay in the background. The crossing keepers cottage is deralict and you can just about make out the remains of ballast on the line which was lifted in the late 90s and the remains of the former crossing gates.
  19. Thanks for posting, but this is not Castlemungret but is the old Quigley plant at Ballinacourty near Dungarvan That closed in the summer of 1982.
  20. Glad ye liked the video clip.PM said he is suprised at the interest in 112 and expects sales to be good of her.The blue really brings out the detail.
  21. I have to agree that it was a very enjoyable show and well done to all concerned.Had a great chat with Paddy Murphy and his 071s were worth the trip alone.Nice to meet a few faces-Ciaran(eiretrains)and Ed not to mention Mr Bracken in flying form.
