  1. It sure is great work Ant,and I hope to try this some time in the future as the look of the front of the loco is improved greatly, and thanks for posting up how to do it.
  2. Well done and as the lads said keep up the good work.
  3. Lovly stuff there Barl, well done.
  4. You might need a table for "refreshments".But seriously I think a stand would be a great idea, along with what Glenderg said with photos of layouts. It is the nuts and bolts of this hobby People starting off find hardest to get info on. Once people see that we are very open and happy to help with any questions, they will join and enjoy the hobby more. Welcome to the site to any new folks.
  5. Hi Patrick, would you believe that the said wagons were stored in my local Station- Enniscorthy from about 1983 till the mid 90s when they were removed.Do you think I took tons of photos of them?.No,and I even stood on the top of them taking shots of steam specials and never thought of the historic value of these wagons. When the Ballinacourty branch closed in 1982 they were stored in Clonmel for year as far as I know.Photos of them in action on the Ballinacourty branch are hard to find.Perhaps someone else might have more info,or you could try the Irish Railway Record Society.
  6. Now that would be a nice chassis to get.lol
  7. Thanks for posting,I enjoyed that.
  8. She looks great bud,and great job on the turntable-very realistic.
  9. Wonderful paint job, fair play to you.
  10. As I have fitted a horny deltic chassis to my a39,and as I found out the extra weight will be needed for good running as she won't pull much and any sort of incline brings it to a halt. Now that I will have time to get back to long finger projects-a39 needs to get some attention regarding extra weight. The deltic motor is a great runner even at slow speed.
  11. Well I did see the model at the show last weekend,I have to agree that price is too much, and model is toylike in appearance, however fairplay for having a go at the model.
  12. Beets look fab alright, and even better with a 071 at the helm.
  13. Stunning Bud,love it,especialy 071 herself.
  14. Thanks for that,I will check later.
  15. Well I'd say now that its my crap vista Dell. I did upload photos the other night, but the blue screen that's prevents me posting returned-grrrrr.
  16. This problem happened on the 201 chip Noel with the prodigy as f2 is a latching button hence why headlights won't Stay on.I will find out what has to be done as Gerry sorted out my 201 chip.
  17. It was a great weekend for me as with getting my hands on 071s,plus Dublin and Wexford shows,it's just been a blast.I just met Anthony and Seamus, and Glenderg Which was lucky as I spent most of my time running after My three year old. Had a quick chat with Des, and 101 looks great and can't wait to start on the kit.
  18. Stunning work there lads.
  19. I enjoyed it Shem, some nice layouts and the train man 1 has a nice selection on stuff for sale. There is about 10 layouts on show, and my own 082 is on freight duty with sound on Gerry's Ballybeg. The scratch built Mk4 and IC 22ks are a fab job.
  20. It seems the cab lighting is standard Conor, glad you like photos.Cant wait to see Anthony's weathered examples.
  21. Nothing worked for me with the 3 function Bachman chip.I tryed a chip In 112 and 082 and nothing, now I hope that perhaps I am doing something a@@e ways but I put in MM 201 and it worked first go. I brought 082 down to Wexford show and Gerry Byrne stuck in a 071 sound chip and that is working fine bar some adjustment for the headlight. As with the 201s you will need the MM 071 chip. I would love to hear anyone's experience with decoders for The locos.
  22. Shem I tryed a Bachman 3 function first which did not work, and ended up using the PM 201 chip from 222.
  23. Yes you have to remove the entire centre body to get at the Decoder pins.It is very handy though especially when compared to the song and dance to open the body's on the 141s.
  24. And for anyone who has not seen the inside of the speaker- decoder area. 4 screws have to be opened as shown in photo. The centre body comes off without cabs.
  25. Spending all my money in 071s.no money for anything else.lol
