  1. Thanks for that info Noel, and indeed aren't. IE still doing all major work on NIR locos.
  2. Looks like my prediction that Bradly Wiggins is going to win the tour will come true.Chris Froome is the revalation of the race-very impressive. Irelands Dan Martin done well as he showed he got stronger in the final days in the mountains so roll on next year.Nick Roche done well but pity he did not win a stage.
  3. Shocking in a word, and who was supposed to sign off on these buildings as finished and fit for sale?.Power-corruption-Lies.
  4. Just wondering, were the windows taken from withdrawn 141/181 locos hence the IE window on 112?.amazing detail differences in that respect.
  5. Thanks Guys, and credit has to go to Des for producing the kit.
  6. Just finished both LC gates along with crossing number. Both gates work via motor, gears and decoders, however the rear gate needs more adjustment.
  7. Stunning stunning is all I can say.The NIR blue is a big grower on me.
  8. I am delighted with the performance of the hornby deltic chassis especialy at slow speeds and thanks to Anthony for that recommandation for that:tumbsup:.I brought A39 to my friend Paddys layout for its first proper run, however Paddy uses all kadee so hence no cravens or cement to haul, and I discovered that the loco needs more weight as it stalled on the incline. We had to use what we had as regards rolling stock, hence why Annie and Clarabel are behind A39:o.The sound chip is fantastic and really brings the loco to life.
  9. The f12 seemed to escape them, but they did do orders for the more modern version of the Dennis.
  10. Great shots there bud.If you want slow journey times have a jaunt on the Connolly-Rosslare service. The journey time from Enniscorthy to Wexford is slower today despite better track, signaling, rolling stock than in 1985 with old signaling, jointed track and old Park Royal coaches.
  11. Noel if you use photo bucket you can get a app that will load to it directly.this is what I use via I pod Touch which is the same as I phone.
  12. I sure will.it will be next week as I will be down to either Ballybeg or the Deeps layout so I look forward to giving her proper run with stock.
  13. Nice photos there. My Grandfather drove on the Harcourt Street line, but died in 1929 when my Dad was 3. This photo is one of the few I have of him, showing him in Ferns station in the 1920s,he is on the right, and anyone know what loco this is ?.
  14. How about thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoAQcGqo4hc You cant beat a bit of dark ambient.
  15. I got this book a few weeks back on Fire Engine builder HCB-ANGUS who were based in the UK and built a fare few machines for the Irish market.A very enjoyable read and lots of photos on different units produced.
  16. Its so sad to see the demise of rail freight and you only have to look at the rail freight video made in 1991 to see the drastic loss to the railways and what used to run and indeed lines as well.
  17. She nearly did.I was using the dynamis which I use for testing etc,but it could have been a disaster.
  18. Ultravox of have a new album out called brilliant. It's the first new material since 1986.The album can be previewed on I tunes.it sounds good to me.
  19. I just got the June journal and a good feature on the Clonsilla-Navan line with nice photos of the line prior to closure, and showing GAA specials and A class haulage along with photos of stations along the line.My favourite is a photo of a A class hauling a GAA special in june 1962 over a viaduct near Bective. Also the front cover photo of a Cattle special at Dunlavin on the Sallins Tullow branch is wonderfull.
  20. I have just about finished A39 with sound chip. She has a Hornby deltic chassis cut and shut which is a superb runner and I sourced a 8 ohm round speaker to suit. All that is left to do is stick on bogie side frames.I have included a quick video of her on my only working bit of track, but I hope to include better shots when I get to someones full layout to give it a good run.The loco nearly ran off the end piece as its hard to video and control on such a small lenth of track. The video does not do the sound full credit but I hope people get the jist of the sound till I get better shots. Click on image to view below.
  21. Kate Bush-what a voice, and as been said her music still sounds good.
