  1. Yup true, the request from ATC for a third pass from the A380 was priceless. Almost a Go on go on go on moment. How much would that cost in extra fuel? Fair play to the BA captain to agree.
  2. Oh yeah. Lots of us about. It was a great day. The Sabre and the Flying Fortress stole the show. A380 and Catalina were spectacular too. A day to remember.
  3. Yup that's my plan. If it rains all day at least the day is not completely lost.
  4. That's still a good lineup but I ll be sad not to see the Vulcan.
  5. I'd concur with the wasp stripe headboards on the weed spray trains
  6. 074 has been wandering recently. It was stabled at Drogheda on a Tara Mines train this afternoon.
  7. There were still 2 or 3 copies in Easons in McDonagh Junction Kilkenny last night if anyone is down that way. Sold out in Easons Cork.
  8. GNRB only lasted 5 years but I'd be very surprised if that was the shortest lived.
  9. 3. Does Cork Penrose Quay count as a separate station from Glanmire Road?
  10. 5. Ballybrophy was originally Borris & Roscrea. Renamed Roscrea & Parsonstown Junction then renamed Ballybrophy.
  11. 4. SLNCR locos had names instead of numbers. The line was still open in 1948
  12. 2. Grendon's of Drogheda. This was well before I was a nipper. Did the export loco go to Brazil?
  13. Mr Keane? ; )
  14. Lol yup. Green is good. There must have been at least 40 correct shades!
  15. Very nice and it fills a gap.
  16. The modern lighter orange matches RAL 2011. This is available from any good paint mixer.
  17. Hi Dave. What are your maximum dimensions for the mimic panel? Should I do the high level section in blue?
  18. Hi Dave. Send me your details and sizes. I can cut it in self adhesive vinyl to any size.
  19. Will be there too. Not sure which day yet.
  20. Hi. Yes the Navan line runs past the end of the platforms. There is also an overbridge just south of the station, about 10 minutes walk away.
  21. Black and Tan would be great. Third and brake third for suburban use
  22. Hi. I picked mine up today. The coach is a non corridor lav compo. The colours match up well to the Murphys coaches. Another body version to add to the rake.
  23. Hi. I repainted an old Lima 09 to a D301 class.
  24. Hi Colm. From memory the colour as supplied was the darker tan colour. As well as the white logos there was another difference from the Supertrain colour scheme. The 071's had a tan background to the headlight surrounds instead of the usual white. The Murphy Models seem to be accurate representations of these variations.

I'm gobsmacked that it could cost 2k per annum to keep the site running. It's a great resource for Irish modelling and with plenty of banter too. If u need some flyers printed I'd be happy to oblige. Keep up the good work Stephen.
