As regards 216-the locomotive is expected to be allocated to work Mk4 trains from Monday 13/06 to and from Dublin Heuston. Work continues at Maam cross station A group of us started work today on fitting the levers to the frame in the new signal cabin and ensuring they were bolted into position, and were in line with the interlocking slots A new access road is also being constructed behind signal cabin, Standard gauge track panels were moved into position alongside the existing narrow gauge track which in the coming months will be removed and replaced with 5’3’’ gauge A few photos from todays operation. The first and last photos show the before and after of the levers slotted into the frame.- 417 replies
