The sound and functions are nice and basic on the SD70-I wouldn't mind a BNSF ES44 at some stage.... -
I entered the venue at 10:00 on Saturday morning-after purchasing a ticket and programme with ease from the ticket office, no queueing whatsoever, It got busy around the 12:30 mark until 15:30-I left at 16:30 after an enjoyable day meeting good friends, and viewing the various layouts- I will return

mgwr preserved railway Connemara Railway project.
ttc0169 replied to ttc0169's topic in What's happening on the network?
Yes it certainly is something special -
Just a thought….. Would it be worth the MRSI and SDMRC and possibly Wexford MRC and NDMRC pooling their resources and maybe use the RDS as a single venue for future events? With the increase in Irish railway modelling in this country surely an annual event similar to model rail Glasgow and Warley could be arranged and marketed with the potential of UK clubs being invited to exhibit their layouts etc, Maybe it is one to discuss for the future.

The cattle bank siding has now been relaid with standard gauge track… More rolling stock is due to arrive hopefully before the Christmas. Note-the signal cabin has gained “new”windows and a name board.- 421 replies
