  4. The CIE Slainte express was one of the first trains sets-still have the Hymek and coaches-followed by the Hornby R686 intercity class 37 set-then in 1981 was the HST train pack and in 1986 came the Lima HST

Gearing up for the busy Christmas season we see preparations being made to increase train sizes….the first set to be increased was the Cravens-9 Cravens and 2 BR GSVs, Locomotives 124+134 assist with the shunting as 018 has a single GSV 3189 to add to the rake of Cravens Also a number of mail trains are scheduled to operate-the first of these is seen here arriving at platform one behind locomotives 160+192 in what is a mixed livery formation from the late 1980s era. The local P&T van awaiting the mail bags.

  10. Double headed bulk cement trains from the 1970-80s and 1980-1990s era share Lakeview freight yard.

I enjoyed my visit to the exhibition yesterday-a nice set up,easy parking and all within a short walking distance from the centre of the town It was great to meet up with Mr & Mrs Gerry Byrne and Barry Moule from the Wexford MRC,really liked Barry’s O gauge BR diesel depot, Another bargain from @WRENNEIRE-running in trials and photos in due course over on Tara junction. A visit afterwards to Modellers Den shop on Darling street for a few bits and pieces and home…. Well done to the organisers.

Day turns into night at Tara Junction… Freight and passenger operation at the junction. 152+132 hauling the Waterford-Northwall BELL liner is followed close behind-(signal to signal) by 130+143 hauling a Limerick-Platin bogie bulk cement, 124+134 hauling the Galway-Heuston Cravens set. 018 hauling the FO 17:00 Heuston-Ballina Cravens set. 017 is seen hauling the Sligo-Northwall oil train. Enjoy…. — at Tara Junction Station

  15. The sound and functions are nice and basic on the SD70-I wouldn't mind a BNSF ES44 at some stage....

I entered the venue at 10:00 on Saturday morning-after purchasing a ticket and programme with ease from the ticket office, no queueing whatsoever, It got busy around the 12:30 mark until 15:30-I left at 16:30 after an enjoyable day meeting good friends, and viewing the various layouts- I will return

  22. Unfortunately Tara junction won’t be there but it’s managing director and chief operating officer WILL be there, Looking forward to being back at the NEC.
