  1. A CIE themed weekend on Tara junction, Cravens,Mk2ds and Mk3 are the passenger stock on show while two BELL liners and a two axle hopper train also make an appearance.

  7. A new addition to Ashburton grove-some 100 ton tanker wagons-seen here behind the 2x20s.
  8. Thanks Jonathan,yes I am lucky my hands on experience has really helped me to recreate the real thing to miniature form on the layout
  9. Removal of signal TJ25 by the S&E department was completed and the locomotive and wagon departed for the S&E compound.
  10. Same as that-I emailed them and a quick response was provided stating it was in the post.
  11. More fantastic progress at Maam cross railway station…. A culvert was renewed and widened enabling the construction of the loop line over it, A new platform starting signal was erected and was put into working order, The signal cabin has had the new lever frame fitted,
  12. The replacement of colour light signal TJ 25 has begun….
  13. It’s a busy morning at the Lakeview freight yard…
  14. 007 has charge of the two axle ballast hopper train as 027 works the HI-AB wagon to the work site.
  15. Soon to be joined by a new addition,we see the DMU working a Leeds-Doncaster local service.

  19. 40 012 has charge of a Newcastle-Bristol passenger train as 31131 passes hauling a Speedlink service.
  20. Morning DJ Yes it is a herpa model with the timber load altered to suit Irish operations. The Scania is 1:76-an Oxford model and the trailer is 1:87, I agree there is a noticeable difference between both scales.

The year is 1995 and we see a brand new 201 class locomotive 220 work it’s first BELL liner train as it takes over from the veteran 001 class locomotives, 220 is seen here working a Limerick-North wall BELL liner through Tara junction, In contrast with only days left in service we see a worn out 018 pass in the other direction working a North wall-Waterford BELL liner.
