  1. Of course they can. Either cut your own axles, or wait up to 10 months for Ultrascale to cut them for you.

Who knows? Sounds like there'll be nowhere for the O-gauge stuff to run, so maybe it will be disposed of?
  3. A39r and Bell liners now fully paid for.
  4. So will Tesco.
  5. Did Richard manage to sort out the outstanding £2.50?
  6. I suppose there'll be a fair few decidedly-used Bachmann Deltics hitting eBay once this all-new Irish one arrives.....
  7. As an alternative to MJT hornblocks, High Level produce some very acceptable (and compact) hornblocks and bearings - takes seconds to assemble and requires hardly any solder until ready to fix in the frames.
  8. If you suffer from any sort of nerves, palpitations, high blood pressure or have a pre-existing heart condition which maybe aggravated by large crowds, then Warley is definitely not worth risking your life for.
  9. That's a pity. That's really the only variant that interests me, mixing ancient with modern.....
  10. That lead time has now improved to 10 months.
  11. Someone who quickly behaves dishonourably.
  12. That could only be Martin Goodall.
  13. Wondering how long it'll take to get the gearbox on the Citroen CX fixed.

Ha. In addition to the gearbox needing rebuilding, a new radiator is needed. And some pipes. Just hope they don't touch anything else.

  14. In that case, let's hope these models are fire-resistant.
  15. ....and is the grave big enough to hold 'em all after Himself calls you upstairs?
  16. I went in 2000/2001. Far too many people back then, like the teeming hordes that commute into Mumbai Station each morning. There were people actually hanging off the Hornby stand. Haven't tried going again.
  17. Just a matter of sorting out the Commonwealth 8ft bogie for the Laminate.... At the moment, my options are...er....none.
  18. Ultrascale are accepting orders again - lead time is now 10 months, so the situation is now "worse" than when they closed their doors to catch up with the backlog..... Given that life is uncertain and much can happen in 8 to 10 months, I wonder if anyone has actually died whilst waiting for an Ultrascale order to be completed?
  19. I'd be interested in trying a set.
  20. I'm just after taking delivery of a Laminate Third kit from IFM, but had to join Farcebook in order to place the order, so it looks like some of the coaching stock is still available in kit form. Seems fair value at 50 Euros.
  21. Ambitious. Going to out-Bachmann Bachmann? Any chance of a DP1 and DP2? Good to see more use of crossed-helical low-resistance gearboxes if that's what you're doing.
  22. That's a shame. 186 is the one I wanted to model eventually.
  23. The Z-boilered variant is the one I'm particularly looking forward to reading about, especially if you do decide to make the conversion etch available to the public....
  24. I am reminded of Samuel Beckett's thoughts on failure.
