A Railway Society in England did tests on the various methods of ballasting some years ago to find which one reduced the noise levels and your suggestion of Copydex plus Woodland scenic foam was found to be most effective. I was going to use it but thought it would be too messy but after seeing your efforts Stephen I’ll give it a try.

    Extreme railways

    A passenger train a half a mile long on tonight’s episode. Another programme on Narrow Gauge Railways “The Golden Age of Steam” started on BBC 4 at 10 pm tonight as well.

  21. Fantastic viaduct Stephen, it’s hard to match a professional job, well done Dave –it’s a great advertisement for your skills. Again I would recommend Glenderg to provide covering for the viaduct; he’s doing some bridge covers for me hopefully to arrive before Christmas.

  24. No, I find Peco is a nightmare to put together. These are Ratio fences which come in one piece.
