  1. Six months of photos of some of the projects going on. Some possibly longer, but external HD was screaming for a format, so why not upload em? No commentary, just pics.
  2. Class, well done lads!
  3. Des, it was probably in Loughrea pulling a cattle wagon and a laminate or some other peculiar formation!
  4. Aye, appears it did Rich. At least once anyway
  5. Dis is dem.
  6. If in a shop you ever asked for a "package of tayto and a tin of coke" you'll be transported back with these two fabulous photostreams. Some unique wagons, formations and buildings. http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnmightycat/sets/72157626386375365/with/5635070130/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/38339202@N00/sets/72157632801087842/with/8490725236/ Ah, God be with the days... Richie.
  7. Great idea, perhaps like a 3 month build challenge split into categories? Lowest posters get the good stuff?? lol, slightly evil.
  8. What else you find on your adventure? Anything else like rolling stock? other books? Lord Lucan?
  9. Nearest I can find is C-rail intermodal offering. You could get all the incidental ones from there, and perhaps make up a mask for the main logo to spray it? http://www.freewebs.com/crail=intermodal/4mmtransfers.html R.
  10. Riversuir was good enough to give me some dimensions and with some superb detailed photos from Anthony, and other snaps, I did up this drawing. I have no firm dimensions or hard information, so this is a bit "have-a-go-harry". Overall length is guesswork, but it's all drawn to Imperial dimensions so it makes some structural sense. Brake wheels and the underframe gear is all missing, which I'll add for the final version. I'd appreciate some feedback so I can adjust it and upload it to the library. Cheers lads. http://www.glenderg.com/drawings/902-Tara_Mines_Draft.pdf Richie.
  11. Evening Gents, Just finished some exams yesterday, hence the lack of participation lately, but back at the workbench full time again. In advance of Hidden Agenda's scratchbuilding tutorials and the general interest here in having a go at making your own stock (Mayner, Riversuir et al) I did a quick drawing of a scale ruler for quickly finding wheelbases for donor wagons. Print it out and glue it to a lollipop stick, no copyright restrictions so share away. Handy in shops for finding suitable wagon bases. Many thanks to Bosko for sorting out my web hosting, and providing the facility for distributing these files. http://www.glenderg.com/drawings/00_Gauge_Scale_Ruler.pdf Richie.
  12. Again, TG4 come up trumps with another fabulous documentary series - Iarnród Uladh - Ulsters Railways. "The first in a four part nostalgic series exploring the history of Ulster's railways. This episode features The Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway in Co. Donegal and Derry" http://www.tg4.ie/en/player/tg4-player.html scroll to Faisneis/Documentaries and it is listed there. The programme is available for 35 days, and content should be available worldwide. Richie.
  13. 'Bout bloody time! This thread is so overdue, it's not funny.
  14. "Closing Date for Tenders is 12 Noon Friday 7th June 2013" & Advised Minimum Value €100,000 Oh man, not often one of Sancton Wood's numbers comes up for sale. Pity.
  15. 7.50 eu for the sand tippler? Richie
  16. I think that 8113 is the finest work you've ever presented. Take a bow..
  17. Stephen, There are heaps of photos of the containers here http://steverabone.com/RailwayPhotographs/ireland_1984.htm The container on the spray is a home made 20' CIE version, with two double doors on the sides, along with the original doors on the end (closed up). I heard once that the side doors were to facilitate loading of bagged chemicals via forklift, but I could be wrong. That's it beside the right hand leg of the gantry crane. Richie.
  18. Wow that is lovely. great attention to detail like the canopy brackets and pats takeaway! i'm really taken by the bogie beet wagons with the little side door in the corner - what stable are they from? droolfest, watched it a few times....
  19. I had a look at Belfast Central from a bird's eye perspective, and if you have about 10 feet for the station and a width of 3 feet you could fit it all in. Add another 8 feet for the approach and a nice curve, and it would make an interesting diorama, especially if you got a bit of the Lagan in there. You wouldn't have the ugly west facade to look at, nor have to model the taxi mon at the front door. R.
  20. There are several professionals here on the site listed under Shops & Services in the banner above - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/260-Graham-s-Resprays-themodelshop-ie http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/forumdisplay.php/42-Wonderful-Weathering http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/37-Anthony-s-Workbench R.
