  1. The DCC sound model looks very good value when you consider the amount of detail the models will have. If these guys could install a moving snack trolley into a coach rake they would. Rich,
  2. With your knowledge of all things BR Fran I'll take that. It sure will be a master piece of a model. Rich,
  3. Interesting choice and with their track record in producing models it will be quality. Prices are extremely favorable. I would have loved to have seen a prototype HST with some top class MK111's. The Hornby versions are showing their age now when compared to the Class 43's. I think that the mix of Lima and Hornby MK111's in the range don't go well together, the roof's and ends are a dead giveaway when they are in the same rake. Rich,
  4. Spot on regards the bogies Dave. Replica Railways produce lovely B5 and B4 bogies. The B5's would really give the model an extra bit of kudos. Rich,
  5. I remember Eamonn asking an interesting question on an older forum about how the issue with the steps could cause problems for the model when on curved track or small radius points. If the steps are a rigid fixture there would be very little room for the bogies to turn. Rich,
  6. Cheers Ed. IE logo, led lights and blanked out cab windows was the condition I was referring to. There are a fair few external differences in the 141-181 locos that PM captured on the models. Rich,
  7. Looks that way Fran. His girlfriend is from Italy he met her during his Udinese days. Rich,
  8. There's talk that Barcelona are willing to offload Sanchez as he doesn't fit into Enriques plans. Sanchez, Vidal, and Diaz have looked top notch in the two games they have played. Pat I nearly choked on my dinner when Fellani scored the other day. Rich,
  9. You're keeping busy Eamonn, looking good. As Des has said the signal looks sweet. You must be getting a nice suntan with the good weather when working. Rich,

    MK3 Scrapping

It pulls at the heart strings looking at that pic. Definitely the best designed coach for comfort when travelling. Rich,
  11. I am shocked at how Spain have capitulated. I honestly thought they would want the four in a row. The hunger seems to be gone. The Cameroon lads are having a bit of a meltdown as I am typing this, headbutting your own team mate. I hope England get a win tomorrow. Rich,
  12. Southern Pride produce some excellent quality kits and accessories. Their MK111 bogies are a huge improvement on the rtr manufacturers.. Rich,
  13. I'm not sure what was the reasoning behind it. I think 123 and 133 were done also. Rich,
  14. A twin pack of 124 and 134 in the condition that they last ran in would be sweet. Blanked out cab windows. You could run them as a pair, or pair one with a baby for a bit of variety. Rich,
  15. Cheers Ed, Always good to have that info. Rich,
  16. The ref bottled it with the elbow, he had a clear view of the incident. If it was a straight red then Neymar would be banned from the rest of the group games and the last 16. Very suspect penalty decision also. I hope England do reach the last 8 just to see Dunphy wearing a dress. Rich,
  17. Blatter must have sun stroke, inter planetary world cups. That's what happens when one man has too much power. Rich,
  18. I should have said that I was talking about Immobile in my post Vincent, my fault for the mix up. I know that it was Fluminense that were the opposition but you still have to take the chances and he certainly did that. Could be Buffons last world cup also. They always produce great goalkeepers and Zoff was 41 when they won it in 1982. Rich,
  19. He played well in that friendly recently Vincent and took his goals well, he's also a big lad but very mobile to go with it. Would have liked to have had a good look at Strootman for Holland but his injury has ruled him out until the end of the year. Rich,
  20. If Balotelli gets his act together and goes on a scoring spree, and De Rossi and Pirlo can dictate the midfield play then they could be last four material. I will be having a good look at Sanchez and Vidal for Chile. Also interested to see how Valencia performs for Equador. Good shop window for a lot of players also. It will be interesting to see if Germany play Muller out wide right with Reus injured. Looking forward to it myself Fran even the Champions Leauge final seems like ages ago. Rich,
  21. If a European nation are to win it on South American soil it would be hard to look past Spain and Germany. I can't see Brazil winning it as they are a bit soft in midfield. Argentina will be a good bet if Messi and Aguero are on top form. The press in England don't seem to be talking the team up as much as they have in previous tournaments and that might not be a bad thing for the players, and there hasn't been any talk of 1966 this time round. I'm really looking forward to it and the group games always throw up some classics. Rich,
  22. I'm almost certain that 230 had the foot holes for a time when she was repainted in Enterprise colors, and as you have said she did have them plated over at a later date. 203 was in Inchicore in Sep 2006, she had the foot holes blanked over and the grilles in undercoat when she was released back into traffic. I can only presume that they had intended to repaint her at that time, however for reasons unknown to me she was back on the rails for a short while in that condition. Rich,
  23. She carried the filler pieces undercoated and both the grilles on each side were in undercoat for a while before she was repainted in the newer orange livery. I think it would make a nice project on the model. Although you would be restricting the model to a small time period. Rich,
  24. Has Mrs Mc made you sound proof the railway room. Rich,
