  1. That's a really beautiful model Des, we probably passed them every day and never paid any attention to them. It really is important to make non railway items available, they can make, or break a layout if not there, and these will definitely fall into the former. You've played another blinder here Des, top marks. Rich,
  2. Nice one Des, I'm looking forward to this. Rich,
  3. 24 wheels before you include the tender, it sounds like a monster Dave. Rich,
  4. Fran you sound like Senator Palpatine. Rich,
  5. That's is an amazing piece of engineering in model form Dave. Imagine what the prototype is like. If it was 00 the tender would probably be as big as the 071. Great model, really enjoyed the video also. Rich,
  6. The Hi-b George, it sounds like Corks version of Tom Mahers in Waterford from what I've heard about it. Rich,
  7. I've seen the layout myself and it looks fantastic when it is being operated. I am sure it will create a huge amount of interest to the people that attend. Hopefully it may fuel or re-awaken interest and bring some new members to the hobby and the group. Best of luck with it. Rich,
  8. Looking good so far Phil. It's great that you have been able to expand the size of the layout due to more room. I love the buildings they are superbly modelled. Can't wait to see more. Rich,
  9. Having watched this from the beginning it is fantastic to see the finished model. It is one of the most unique model builds that I have seen in a long while. Huge respect to you and well done. All the hard work has paid off. Rich,
  10. I agree fully with Seamus's post as it really says rural Ireland in that photograph. Stunning stuff again. Rich,
  11. It was a pleasant surprise Tom. We were parked in the Mayors Walk and walked down Patrick Street. There were some American n gauge locos, but the ships really looked the business, pity I didn't have the camera. Rich,
  12. Excellent Finnyus, here's hoping that they will see a return to the rails, as stored is becoming a bit of a dirty word these days. They are a really impressive wagon and a full rake behind an 071 always makes for a fantastic sight. Rich,
  13. Excellent Noel, The signals look right at home. Glad you enjoyed the trip to Warley. Rich,
  14. Thank you John. I'm a diesel era modeller myself but I would like to see a steam loco released to the standard of the MM GM's. Especially one that could be run in a preservation set with Cravens. I often wondered if we would see MM Cravens released in the RPSI blue livery. The orange and black coaches would just need RPSI logos applied to the doors. Rich,
  15. I was bringing my son into the winter festival in Waterford today and noticed a shop on Patrick Street that used to be a boutique (which has since shut down) had some models of n gauge trains, 0 scale trucks some Irish ones also with Bell containers and a Lucey Transport truck, naval ships, second world war dioramas, military models. It wasn't open, has anyone heard anything about it. Rich,
  16. Ivan first of all it is great to see you posting again. I was really into the build of the model and it is good to know that you will be able to continue to build the model the way you want to. That was a touch finding the drawings through the MMSI. £50 does sound very steep, but that is part of the cost sometimes in the hobby. I look forward to seeing things progress once more. Rich,
  17. Best of luck Richie, I have no doubt that you will achieve top marks. Rich,
  18. I still have a role of 1mm tape from Railmatch Tom. It gets used very sparingly. Rich,

    A Class

I remember that one George, Those Nervous Animals. Rich,
  20. Great job Tom, they look exquisite. Very neat and tidy, the white stripes look great. Did you try the reverse masking method for the white lines. Top marks, Rich,
  21. I followed that myself Fran from the beginning. I don't think that Martin would do it again in a hurry though. His other skills in weathering and painting makes him one of the very best out there. Rich,
  22. Well done Popeye the wagons look amazing. It must be very satisfying to actually have them up and running. The fact that you are using your own chassis design and remaining as prototypical as you can is worthy of respect also. Rich,
  23. This is a great project and I'm delighted to see the update. All the hard work is beginning to pay dividends. I love that A class, it really captures the look and colour of the prototype. The buildings as always are superb. I look forward to more. Rich,
  24. Go for it Fran. I suppose that we always go for the money shot when a loco or piece of rolling stock passes. The more uninteresting parts of a loco, wagon, coach, per way vehicle are as you have said of huge importance to modellers. Rich,
