  1. That's another fine bit of kit bashing Popeye well done. Rich,
  2. A fine model, great work and a nice paint job. Rich,
  3. I hope that the 67 is a return to the quality of the 08 and class 60 Fran. I'm not bothered about the gimmicky details like opening doors etc. I just hope it looks like a 67. Will it have brake disc's on the wheels also. Rich,
  4. That would make for one inspirational layout John. Its always nice to add something prototypical to a layout if it is in the vicinity of the area you are modelling. A chap I know is in the planning stages of basing a layout on Campile during the 60's early 70's and is hoping to add Ballycullane Viaduct to the scenic part of the build. If modelling in this area of the country it would be a good idea to try and have a talk with Jack Kennedy if you get the opportunity as his knowledge of the area is limitless. Rich,
  5. I was passing that way a week ago Eamonn, on the road where the Currabaha level crossing was. It would all make a hell of a model including the viaduct. Rich,
  6. Eamonn looking at your work and the way you are improving all the time in every area I honestly think you could do it. Rich,
  7. He'll love it. 078 would make a nice renumbering exercise for one of the IE led light cluster models with a small IE logo on the side of the loco. Come on Eamonn you have to do it now. Rich,
  8. Still one of my favorite 071 photos Eamonn I love the small body side logo and open doors. Rich,
  9. That's good news I might invest in another one myself in case my other one goes missing. Is there a checkrail or flangeway gauge available from the stores for 21mm as it's always handy to have two of each. Rich,
  10. Smashing photos Cathal the DB Schenker livery looks realy familiar now that some UK locos are turned out in it. Rich,
  11. I've only just seen this thread now. Excellent work and the wagons look great with the Bell containers in situ. Rich,
  12. Now could be the time to stock up on some more chairs for the layout build. Rich,
  13. It'll nice to be able to go online and order from the webpage. I have to say that I think the P4 Track Co products are better detailed and the special chairs for building track are fantastic. Having said that C&L also offer some great products in their range. Rich,
  14. I look forward to seeing this progress, good luck and I'm sure it will be an amazing model. Rich,
  15. Some lovely photos Cathal. I am not really a huge fan of the DMU - EMU's but they are a permanent fixture of todays railways. If you get a chance to photograph all the details of the non fire extinguisher side of a 201 chassis (like those you took of 226's chassis) on your travels I would really appreciate it as I won't be doing any photographing myself for a while. Rich,
  16. The latest link seems to be working. I will edit the first post. Rich,
  17. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/61720-where-can-i-get-exactoscale-products-answer-cl-finescale-page_fromsearch_1 Rich,
  18. I've just checked it Pat and you're right, RMweb locked and merged posts to stop duplication. I will try again. Rich,
  19. I read this earlier on RMweb and although they mainly deal with UK based railways and 4mm - 7mm the Exactoscale range is still as useful for 21mm modellers of the Irish scene. The original link wouldn't work so I have left a new one in post 4. Rich,
  20. That's one hell of a model Pat. Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the cardan shafts beneath the chassis on that model, and connected to the bogies. Rich,
  21. That looks very interesting and takes things to a new level. Have you seen Pugsleys 0 gauge Class 37 sprung bogies. Rich,
  22. Fran imagine if the springs actually served a purpose and the bogies were sprung. I remember a chap using clothes peg springs on a 7mm scratch built model and when they were weathered they looked really good. However if any kind of kink or bend does happen to the spring it could look strange. I think I might have to invest in one myself in ochre. Rich
  23. The Westerns are a different class Seamus and are classed as class 52. The Warships are classed as class 42. You are spot on the class 22 is a lovely model as are a lot of the Great Western prototypes. Rich,
  24. It's amazing Fran and I can see lot's of Heljan Westerns turning up on ebay soon. It has set the bar at it's highest so far in 00 gauge. Advice and knowledgeable opinion of the prototype is free and given willingly on forums like ours and RMweb. It just amazes me that other manufacturers don't do it, it costs nothing and it doesn't do any harm to reference knowledgeable people. Well done Dapol. Rich,
