  1. Just discovered this - great stuff, plenty of character! Hope it's progressing!
  2. Following this one with interest JB, just hope you get the liveries right........ Am not an authority by any means but the straight lines catch the eye a bit: looking at Ballynahinch Junction now makes me think I should have angled the running lines a bit in relation to the baseboard edges, even though the prototype was dead straight (until the point of divergence). Love the culvert and bridge - I have a plan for something similar for my 'micro', plans for which are still simmering! Good luck with the build sir.
  3. Really sorry to hear this Tony. Hoping you get back to it again soon.
  4. Not too many layouts based on the DNGR - I remember seeing one on display in Carlingford once, possibly entitled 'Ravensdale Viaduct'. Nice subject, the DNGR.
  5. There are a few more pics in the OO Works website gallery.
  6. They've changed the pic! Looks a lot darker in this shot, or is this the black version....looks more dark grey......?
  7. Just spotted this....screen grab from OO Works website, hope they don't mind!
  8. Any chance of a pic Andy?
  9. Top one looks like Ballymena shed and bottom looks like York Road. Looking forward to looking at the full album, thanks for the info!
  10. Let's have an Irish 'Great Model Railway Challenge' where we bring yourself and David Holman and others together to create a finescale model of Strabane!!
  11. Sorry to hear this Andy. Castlederg was the star of the show at Cultra - and thank you for taking the time to chat to everyone you met, that makes it all the more enjoyable! Looking forward to seeing pics of Courtmacsherry.
  12. Nice to see you JB - that was a mammoth effort to get to Cultra and back! Agree with the above, would also add that generally speaking, the light isn't great in the gallery, for an event like this, as I found out to my cost when exhibiting Ballynahinch Junction back in 2010. Most seasoned exhibitors now know to bring their own lighting but a few new exhibitors were caught out a bit today, as I was in 2010. Highlights for me were Andy Cundick's sensational 'Castlederg' as well as the LEGO model of Lisburn!!!
  13. And the award for the funniest forum post this year goes to.............
  14. Same - started off encouragingly but hasn't lived up to expectations. Am holding off to see 'The Mother of all Layouts' to be built by the winners.......
  15. As a dedicated steam fan I have to be totally honest and say......I'll be getting one. The specs are mouthwatering and for what is on offer, the price seems very very reasonable. Hats off to all involved!
  16. Travelling on the Cushendall line - wow........ (even if it didn't quite make it down the valley to Cushendall!) Awesome stuff JB!
