  1. Very very nice!! Looking forward to the next installment!
  2. Wow! Instant hillside!! That looks amazing! That tunnel mouth looks very tidy - do you mind me asking where / who it is?
  3. Maybe not Leo no, might open a beer tho
  4. ANd you end up with an absolute stunner of a model that will give you pride everytime you look at it Nice work!!
  5. Well, bit of a milestone today The entire double mainline and all mainline junctions are now down, glued down (and partially ballasted) Clearance tests are all done (using mkII, mk4, craven, pocket wagon, cement bubble and DD coaches!) I even managed to hoover the entire attic (which hadn't been done for about three months! eek!). Result is a nice, clean environment, for tomorrows big push to get the two mainline buses in so I'll have a double powered loop by this time tomorrow! Tomorrow I'll try take a full circuit of photos and maybe a video if I can manage getting power fully down!
  6. hehe, do you have a camera in my office Rich
  7. In the corner (top right of first photo) I'm planning a small town / something scene, with a level crossing over the mainline ....
  8. Sounds like a plan - cheers lads! The wall is the same as Anthony is using - drop him a PM am sure he can arrange some for you I reckon a 1" little batten behind the retaining wall, then plant it up as a nice overgrown embankment, and the wall a lovely dark grey shade of mucky, unloved concrete Maybe some trunking / cables along it too....
  9. Thanks - as you can see from the pics, the headroom at this end is nothing - but I was thinking of putting a small batten behind the retaining wall and 'planting a bit of hedgrow on top / behind to blend into the angle where the wall meets the roof...
  10. Small updates today. Here are some shots of the headshunt for Blackroad Road branch / depot, and the associated junction. Any thoughts / opinions on the backdrop here - the retaining wall could work...
  11. Ideally wrap (though it's a monster project in it's own right ) In the short term, I was planning a coat of grey primer to 'concretify' it and to finish the deck ballast and handrails
  12. You know, with Glazing, I'd buy one....
  13. Very rough mockup of hornby fences on the viaduct
  14. It's looking a lot better! Glazing would actually really knock it up a gear

Total lunacy! Not enough in the bank to pay the wages (barely) and they throw cash at a rebrand! <boggle>

    The future?

Never the mind the options those lovely little powered bogies give for kits, remotoring, etc!
  20. Sounds like huge progress Patrick! Photos please!!

    The future?

Certainly means lots of room for smoke gens, multiple bass reflex speakers, loads of micro leds The possibilities

    The future?

I guess this is pretty close! Motors for each bogie.... How long before the like sof Hornby or Bachmann follow suit (if at all) considering Hornby stuff (some of it) still have 1980's technology motors inside!

    The future?

Wow - dual coreless, flywheel motors - can only imagine that means much more efficient running, more weight and ultimately more pulling power! Never mind the space for speakers, and unimaginable amounts of wiring fun
  24. !!! Automated distance control, traffic control and DCC control!!! Yikes! Who needs rails at all
  25. Great idea sentinel I need just over 2 metres worth !
