  3. Hmm, actually I do have a few lengths in a box somewhere from the old layout.... Might work with a lick of black paint.... will try that out!
  4. Yer a bloody genius Richie (as always ) :)
  5. Anyone have ideas on the best way to wall or fence off the viaduct deck? I've looked at Iron Railings from faller, which look typical, but not sure how best to fit.. any suggestions gratefully received
  6. Any pictures John ?
  7. Words fail!!! Wow! Irish modeling may be a small community but the superlative modeling is spoiling us!!!

  12. Sorry :)
  13. Nothing but cursing Will have to rename the attic the 'Blue room'
  14. As a tip, you can buy cork floor tiles from woodies. They pretty much match up exactly to rail height. Am thinking of experimenting with using them as hardstanding, then filler between the tile edge and the track... You can see a similar method here: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/blog/1/entry-44-inset-trackwork-on-keyhaven/ On the upide, its a lot less filler, and should be easier to get an 'expanse' of flat, level surface (you can always spread filler thinly on the tile anyway before painting too)
  15. Two days (estimated) of Mainline Bus soldering, cursing, wiring, more cursing and the small of burning fingers, then, then there will be video :)
  16. Welcome - and wow - what a stunning Terminus!! Keep us posted!
  17. Been hard at work on doubling up the mainline loop so I can then get stuck into soldering the mainline bus. The bus 'starts' at roughly the midpoint of the terminus board, and takes feeds left into the Terminus and Right into the yards. I will add two more loops here, one heading off left to the viaduct and the other heading out right to the stairwell. In time, each district can then be powered by its own booster / circuit breaker. I'm also running separate DCC buses for Accessories / Motors and for Lighting control.. At the risk of feeling buried in cables and solder, here's 071 posing crossing the viaduct with a short rake of Guinness cages (empties)

    New IÉ logo...

Would make for a very eye-catching livery on an 071
  19. Looking great! An original and interesting bit of modelling - going to look fantastic all painted and weathered up

Are we to see Eddie Stobart Liveried 071's? Woooo exciting
  21. Gobsmacking as always I -love- your stock :)
  22. It's a model of 700 - a Permanent Way inspection vehicle. It's an EM50 unit, which IE use / used to use. I 'think' the donor is HO, but it makes a decent rendition of an IE vehicle
  23. Are you using double stacked matches as filler borders / containment? Any idea on what kind of filler you are going to use?
  24. Here's a lovely example of the hanging basket liner in use
