  1. Waiting on Glenderg to deliver these and some more toys The billboard watertower is the one from Connolly and the LMS watertower is from the north wall yard
  2. Some new additions en-route
  3. AFAIK, a full rake is 12 wagons?

  5. 'Love' the rearranged bricks!
  6. Generally, they turn 90 degrees and 'square off' the platform end. Will try find a pic

  8. Nice one!
  9. Great info snapper!

  11. Thanks Guys. I had a 'gauging' train made up of a pocket, a craven, a mk3 and cement bubble (wide ladders) and a container flat behind a 201 - will do the same and drive it past some mk3s
  12. Kirley - really sorry but could you email me again (or point me to a link online?) I seem to have lost a chunk of email
  13. hmm, I thought I'd uploaded them too..... sorry, will check
  14. Highly recommended I've one on the wall over Amiens Street - full of inspiration
  15. Yep, I was hoping there was a more scientific method So far I've a pair of virgin mkIIIs that the boys 'play' with I just basically try make them hit each other
  16. Other than sticking stock down and trying to crash them, anyone any recommendations on clearance for bends? I'm using peco finescale geometry, so the tracks are quite close together (about an inch apart). So far so good, but I wonder should I separate them a bit more on some bends?
  17. hear hear As good as reason as any to put it off. Procrastination is yer only man!
  18. <splutter>!!! That's on the todo list alright Eventually.......
  19. Then of course I'll have to make the mainline bus, and the accessory bus for the points, and plug in the computer and set up JMRI and a million other things before I can run anything But that's tomorrows worry
  20. Not at all, I find the iphone seems to compress the field from some angles! I could of course say that I'm aiming for a 'no straight lines' model :) Covers a multitude of sins :) Thanks a million for the feedback guys! Hope tomorrow to get the last few points in the throat laid and this section of mainline from the throat to the lift out section laid, then move directly on to starting the same over the viaduct! With a bit of luck, i should have powered track running over the viaduct by the middle of next week
  21. As you can see, I need to turn more sharply after the throat to avoid those sidings (hindsight of course would have left them out, or reduced to one). Once cleared, the track gently realigns with the crossing in the foreground.
  22. I need a slight S to align the junction at the throat with the junction in the foreground The track basically turns after the throat junction, then takes a sweeping curve to meet the next junction - the photos make it seem a bit more abrupt maybe than it is - the entire wave is about 8 feet
