  1. You said you hadn't run trains in a while there could have been a small surge of power or sometimes a short will cause it to burn out anyway pull the bodies of and check the boards to rule that out

  5. There is a small problem with some of the circuit boards on the 141/181 the very fine copper circuit that runs down each side of the board from the pickup wire to the decoder harness can burn out. Its an easy fix as all you have to do is solder on a couple of wires to replace the burnt out circuit. Take the body off and check out the circuits you will clearly see if they have burnt out on you.

  7. That's already been done bud. In Wonderland (Germany) they have a motorised couple in the back of a convertible car with a film crew around them making one of those DVD's heir flick would like. No prizes but lots of street cred for the first one to find the clip on You Tube
  8. Still way to mush for printed plastic Stephen. Modelling has come a long way when it comes to detail when you look at what is out there and I'm sorry to say that this model just ain't coming up to the standard of the price that is been asked for. Murrayec needs to have a good rethink the days of producing models like this and commanding a price tag like he is looking for are long gone when you consider that his price is in around that of DK's railcar which is head and shoulders above it and is worth the money for the detail you get. I hope Murrayec don't take the comments the wrong way but when you come on a site like this and ask guys who are used to a high level of detail and don't thing twice about looking for ways to improve on even the likes of PM's models you can not expect to pull the wool over their eyes with detail and more importantly pricing.
  9. I will keep you a seat when I get there
  10. Frank I know a lot of the artic HO tipper trucks tip and have working tail gates. What you could do is take a HO tipping trailer and transplant the body to a OO rigid cab and chassis.
  11. There was an article in one of the UK mags a few months age on building bridges like this from plastic card balsa etc etc
  12. I have to agree with you 100% Rich there is no way that model is worth 400euro for printed detail more like 40euro. I would be more interested in DK's forthcoming brass version. I think if it were sitting on a layout with the like of Murphy/MIR/SSM and DK models it would just look so out of place and lacking in 3D detail. It looks more cheap toy like and definitely not 400euro. I seen one of these recently at the show in Dun Laoghaire and I didn't like the look of it due to the printed detail but I need to sit down now and reach for my tablets as I can't believe it has that sort of price tag on it. If it were a hell of a lot cheaper I would say yes but at that sort of money I think you have just shot yourself in both feet.
  13. Never mind the DVD's this would be more up your street for you layout http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOCH-36953-SEXY-SCENES-LOVERS-IN-ACTION-DESK-ADULT-N-FIGURES-SET-NEW-/320983219875?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4abc173ea3#ht_2160wt_906 Or this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOCH-15951-SEXY-SCENES-LOVERS-IN-ACTION-ON-METAL-BED-ADULT-HO-FIGURES-NEW-/330790469526?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item4d04a5ff96#ht_2040wt_1037

  15. Don't forget to model a little Dave Bracken outside the chipper holding the local scumbag face down on the bonnet
  16. I would say that those screws are for the footplate and the body pulls of like the 141/181's and the footplate stays attached to the chassis.
  17. PM sent mate:tumbsup:
  18. Dave fancy having a go at producing these.
  19. I better not show him some of the DVD's I have =))
