For Waterfords biggest rail fan (Red Rich) 226 River Suir. Get well soon Bud. Once again a big Thank You to Steve at Railtec for developing and producing his new 201 renumbering pack

It's my favourite livery the 201 class to date has been painted in. I have a few rakes of NIR coaches so I decided to repaint one of my 201's into what has to be the best livery on Irish rails. Simple but nice. I've given 208 a very light weathering as I always remember the 2 NIR 201's in that livery been kept quite clean. Thanks to Steve at Railtec for the decals enjoy.

220 on the turntable I've upgraded the marker lights and headlights to LEDs as I noticed on the real 201's in my local station had a lot brighter lights than the model portrayed. 220 runs a TCS A6X decoder.

Hi Fritz and welcome to the site. I usually paint the rails a rust colour and then lay my ballast. Then I airbrush the ballast with track dirt and dirty oil colours where locos might sit. There's no particular way to paint your track its what ever way suites you. I prefer to pint my rails first as when the ballast is layed I wont get the rust colour on it. -

That's amazing I don't know how they cross over that anyway this is what you need http://www.ehattons.com/7740/Peco_Model_Railway_Products_SL_94_Long_crossing_insulfrog/StockDetail.aspx

I think you need to redo this bit as I can't see to many trains passing over this section there's to much of a sharp angle on it you may need the bigger diamond crossing.

John have you any photos of the scrap trains as I never knew scrap was carried on Irish Railways. Would make a nice train to model.
