  1. @K801 I have one of the Chicago Metra ones on order, just waiting on that call that I can go and pick it up. The TRE looks nice, there only a handful up here that run for Metra.
  2. @Georgeconna the Railfreight or BR Blue liveries is what I would be looking for. I have a Lima Class 31 from a trainset from 1989, for some reason I love the 31 in that livery. There is about 4 or 5 BR diesels I like, the 31 is one of them
  3. Jeez, one of the BR Diesels I like, the Class 31. Good job a pay rise was approved, lol. Just wondering if it is "Set in stone" the amount that are going to be produced for each variant? I was starting to keep an eye out for a Hornby Class 31 but with this announcement, that has put the brakes on that one.
  4. @Steveb thanks, emailed
  5. Can anyone please confirm the email address for Chris Dyer? I have tried enquires@chrisdyerfairs.co.uk but I got kick back email to advise the email address was not found.
  6. Saw this on Rails Ebay page, Lima Class 201, seems to be "River Shannon" - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203837589225?hash=item2f75aac6e9:g:z~AAAOSwZmpiESH2 Not from Rails, but the same loco, Murphy Models MM0201 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224834939186?hash=item345934e932:g:zU4AAOSwCXJiAmwI - 325 Sterling MM1508 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144410223744?hash=item219f852480:g:iHoAAOSwCEpiAlCI - 124.95 Sterling MM1521 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144410223770?hash=item219f85249a:g:YKQAAOSwshpiAlG8 - 124.95 Sterling
  7. Wait to see how the UK market will appreciate what they are about to get with the locos that Accurascale are going to release with the Class 37, 55, 92 and the Manor. Well done to IRM/Accurascale for what you have done so far and for what lies ahead.
  8. - shortly before the 121 was released, IRM announced they would be stocking them. They also had some 201s for sale about the same time. If you check stockists for Murphy Models products, IRM are listed.
  9. Mine arrived on Friday, I have a couple of things I am looking for at the moment, I do have a LOT of DCC sound decoders to buy yet but I am loco hunting at the moment. I am hoping in a few weeks to get a few sound decoders for my 141 and fit one of these and see the difference against the only one I have a sound decoder installed on at the moment.
  10. Will there be an option to purchase all of them with a little discount as in previous releases?
  11. lol, I was going to pull the trigger on a couple of A class locos, today.. waiting to see what happens with this announcement.
  12. I know, I was in my local store to get some track and I saw this - http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH71528, it haunted me for a whole week so the following weekend, I went back and picked it up for $135, I thought it was a beautiful loco, this and the F59PH as my eye is on that loco. I already downloaded the ESU file that matches a Norfolk Southern SD40, all I need to do is get a sound decoder and we are off. I was informed that Rapido do not release the F59PH often so it is case if you want one, better get on this release or you could be waiting a long time before they may do it again.
  13. Not sure if anyone is interested in this model here in the US, I think it is a limited release but Rapido are releasing a model of the EMD F59PH in all liveries, for me the one that interests me is the Chicago Metra - https://www.trainworld.com/rapido-19512-ho-scale-f59ph-metra-w-blue-vignette-99-rapido-19512.html
  14. Hi George, I have thought of that and I am also keeping a thought on it. The ones listed are in IE and Supertrain. I have to do some research when I finish my working day later on to see if I am willing to renumber a loco or not.
  15. I have that one, I am looking for MM0082, MM0088 and MM0077. I know that MM7078, are like gold to pick up so I am not even going to try unless I get very lucky.
  16. It is getting crazy with the prices on eBay, I know everyone is entitled to ask what they want for their models an it looks like there are people out there that will pay them prices, as long as people will keep buying models at crazy prices, the more and more we will see of prices going up. I was going to start looking for 3 071s and trying to keep an eye out for them, I wonder what prices they would command at the moment on eBay.
  17. I ordered the iPhone speakers that @murphaph advised, I read on Joe's post and I do not fancy trimming much inside the loco, hence why I went with it. The speaker that I used in one, it did require me taking a little off the speaker bracket that is inside the loco so I am waiting for the iPhone speakers to turn up at this side of the large pond.
  18. I am wondering, what would be a good speaker today for a Murphy Models Class 141/181? I got a speaker for a 141 in my local store, but I am not very happy with the sound from it, I think I need something better, before I go about and get more speakers as to be honest, I have brought a few to see how things go, what would others suggest could be a better fit, I got a soundtraxx speaker currently in my 141.
  19. Pleased to advise order arrived today, I am going to wait until tomorrow before testing it out as it is below freezing here for a couple of months at this stage.
  20. The mail train ran I think until the 90s with a 121 pulling it from memory on the Cork/Dublin line as I think it would have been at Charleville station at approx 4:30pm. Ammonia's I am pretty sure also ran, Cements, Tara's, Ballast. I am sure someone else will mention something or correct me on what I have thought of
  21. For those that are modelling US, Athearn are set to release the DDA40X in Feb: http://www.athearn.com/Search/Default.aspx?SearchTerm=ATHG+DDA40X&CatID=THLD
  22. Here in the US, they are doing another run of Big Boy and adding US locos to the range: https://us.hornby.com/catalog/range-launch-2022?sort_by=8&page=1
  23. Charlie got back to me today to advise my order has shipped, provided me with the tracking number and I hope that it will arrive in the next couple of weeks, now to hope that it gets delivered in the next couple of weeks. Over to USPS, as it should be in the US next week. Praying that it gets through them and US customs quick enough.
  24. To be fair, Charlie did advise I was a little short on the payment, I paid what I thought was fine when I was making the purchase. Maybe ordering trains after a few beers, not the best thing in the world to do, however, I promptly sent the balance that was owed and hopefully keep things on track for shipping this week. With some model railway stores closing over the years, and for the life of me, I cannot think of the store names, there was one in Belfast that closed down, another one was the awesome store in Portlaoise, Graham's toymaster, I hate to see them close. I only got to visit the store once, I thought it was an awesome shop. I was hoping that DC Kits was not another store that closed. It seems fewer places we can go to shop for model trains, of course the service I have gotten and help from IRM themselves, I have to also thank them. Thanks again to everyone, I do appreciate everyone and @Old Blarney if you did speak to Charlie about this one, I am thankful to you also. I do wish no hard feelings to anyone.
  25. All, Happy to report, Charlie has emailed me a couple of times and we maybe getting this issue resolved. It seems that there are issues with shipping costs that I was not aware of, I did pay the shipping cost from the website when I was making my purchase, hopefully we get this resolved ASAP and hoping my loco gets shipped before end of the week. I do appreciate all replies to this thread, once again I am sorry for bringing up bad memories for members on this, I know everyone is trying to help.
