Hi All A further update showing the latest additions to the fleet, A rake of Dapol modified tanks to x 13 molasses tanks pulled by 036 revealing 8 new MIR bogie ballast wagons. I’ve also replaced the dummy signals on the station side with new working colour light signals made from brass rod, strip, wire and ladders with the 3 aspect heads from Berko and Railtech, ground shunt, theatre and route indicators, hoping to connect to the panel this weekend. Some pictures showing the changes to the yard too with two new hoists, fuel point and tank in place. I have to thank Geoff Johnston for providing the old style NIR logos for the two blue hunsletts all three hunslets are are running well with sound added to all three, There is also some pics showing the inside of the signal box and shed. Hi All, just a quick update with some pictures, I’ve spent the last 6 months, making, modifying, detailing and painting many, many bits and pieces. Today I started placing some of these on the layout starting with the town area, road works, bar fight, police check point on railway bridge and a loco scrap yard, much more has to be done in these areas , but its a start, I will also be adding several more in the next few weeks to other areas too, Some pictures contain loco Surgery LOL enjoyTDR- 406 replies

Totally agree, jhb171achill, the police/military wagons are to be included into a vintage vehicle show on the layout. TDR -

Hi All, A very busy period getting some more details ready for the layout, including AWS ramps, warning cones and barriers, clocks and chairs for the signal box interior, gas cylinders. Some military and police vehicles for a vintage show diorama, and a rake of 13 Premier Mollasses wagons, will post more pics when placed on layout. TDR- 406 replies

Hi All Great talking to many over the weekend at warley show, Paul, Joe, Noel and the gang and Mark and Jim on the only Irish layout Inver and to anyone else whom took the time, I had a great weekend with my son and Nephew, Attached is some pictures, as you can see from the last picture it wasn't as crowded as usual on the Saturday. Partly because of the rail strike. Sunday had a bigger attendance. Enjoy TDR

Hi phil, over a number of years I gathered surplus lima mk2bs and airfix mk2ds with the intention of spraying them into Irish liveries to keep costs to a minimum, so I will be painting these into choosen liveries early next year. but thanks for the offer, someone on the site might be interested if you open the swap to the forum. TDR Regards Ray -

Hi George, its really down to personal choice, i have quite a few mk2s, but just 6 have the black roofs, and i seem to favour running these over the others, I will eventually be repainting some mk2b stock with the black roof varient to run along with this set (opposite direction) of course. Visual effect , I prefer the black roof, purely because they appear to be more Irish looking, However its your choice or if funds permit invest in both. TDR Regards Ray
