  1. Looks like some of the locals have been indulging in a spot of cow-tipping, too!
  2. I've found it's been running pretty slow for the past while. Apparently they got hacked by some left wing group last week, too.
  3. Anyone know where I could find a photo of a CIÉ Leyland Octopus? Can't find one anywhere...
  4. I have two of the weathered Baby GMs in IR livery. I'm just waiting for a chance to remove it and add my own!
  5. Just started following it.
  6. www.specsavers.ie ...We cover all angles!
  7. Agreed... looks good on my iPhone.
  8. Seamus, I've posted a new thread with the tutorial and made it a 'sticky' topic, so it'll be easy to find for future reference.
  9. 1. Go to the image host's website (TinyPic is good and easy to use). 2. Click 'choose file' and select the image you want to use and click 'open'. 3. The file name will now appear in the appropriate field. Click 'upload now'. 4. In the pop-up window, fill out the 'captcha' security code and click 'upload now'. 5. Once the image is uploaded, you will be given a number of link options. Select 'IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards' and copy the code. 6. Paste the code into your forum post and you're ready to go!
  10. I'll also post a quick tutorial on how to use a third party image host, if that helps...
  11. An easy way to get around this is to upload to a 3rd party image host (I find http://www.tinypic.com handy), who will provide a link so you can use the image here. Use the link with the tags and paste it into your post.
  12. I'd doubt the engine sound on the A class would differ much between 25mph and 60/70mph, as it depends on throttle position and load, rather than speed. Same story with the 071... they can be seen at low speeds, with full throttle and turbo screaming.
  13. Wow, looks tasty!
  14. Nice. The DDA40X just about squeeze into the timeline I'm aiming for with my UP N scale stuff... although the Sprectrum loco would need a bit of work to bring it up to standard.
  15. Doesn't a single Centennial haul the UP directors' specials? That'd be an excuse to just buy one - although you'd then have to pick up a rake of coaches instead!
  16. Lovely model, Fran. I have a soft spot for the Union Pacific GTELs. What are the chances of a 'Big Blow' model hitting the shelves? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPh1JkIhoOk
  17. 25mph is the max speed limit on the DCDR, so I'd guess it was pushed up to that. Plenty of time to get in all throttle settings. I'm sure Enniscorthyman has all the details from the day, though.
  18. Very effective! Any particular brand you find most effective? The nastier and cheaper the better, right?
  19. Aye, continental European models are fairly expensive. And some people complain about Murphy Models' prices!
  20. Kudos again to NS - another great scheme!
  21. Fantastic modelling! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
  22. Have you seen the LS Models Corails? Best of the bunch!
  23. Sleeper trains haven't used that route for many, many years now. The only Corails on the route are on three/four coach TER trains...
  24. Fixed your post.
