  1. How long before Glenderg models it...?
  2. Anybody been there? They, apparently, have an ex-IÉ coach turned into a café. http://www.caraghnurseries.ie/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Caragh-Nurseries/110445555714883
  3. Good advice - it's not just you - I've had problems with sources that I regularly correspond with and stuff still gets "Spammed" - and, as you say, items that that might expect in the Inbox can be in Social, Promotions, or wherever. Check the Spam every week - that's my advice. I've had no problems with yours (as far as I know, of course). A friend of mine got a letter the other day from his electricity supplier asking if they had his correct address - if it was correct, he was to do nothing, but if it was wrong, they asked him to correct it - I don't think they had thought that through....
  4. I've just received one today.
  5. I still get them, but they are not as frequent as they used to be. I had one on March 24th. I have found, though not with Marks, that some genuine stuff ends up in Spam these days - it's worth looking in there every week or so, mine deletes stuff that's been in there for 30 days..
  6. 'Twas Mike84C - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/4325-A-six-wheel-coach .
  7. It's nice to be (almost) appreciated.
  8. United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was in Tipperary yesterday, expressing similar sentiments - http://www.un.org/sg/statements/index.asp?nid=8664 .
  9. Mmm, the pallet may or may not be related to the sleepers, maybe it was just an attempt to avoid them being in direct contact with the soil without the benefit of ballast drainage - the "StreetView" pictures would suggest that they may have arrived in the last few years - possibly together, possibly not.
  10. Excellent! A small 'deposit' at the rear of the horse might amuse the crowds...?
  11. It's a museum full of interesting junk - not necessarily related in any close manner.
  12. The crane looked standard gauge.
  13. They were here, so they presumably arrived fairly recently.
  14. Indeed, I wouldn't expect it to go down the hole.
  15. There was a lot of mining in that area in the 19th and early 20th centuries - it just be some 'special' gauge that was used internally somewhere locally.
  16. Most, but not all. It certainly looked more modern than a hundred years old, but the rails would have been well over six feet apart, I would say.
  17. They weren't very accessible.... I couldn't see any ID on the castings. Some seven foot track that was unconnected, survived into modern times.
  18. I found a stack of sleepers today in Shropshire.... ...I had no means of measuring them, but they were way over even 5' 3" - I presume they were Mr Brunel's 7' ¼". There can't be too many of them left lying around - or too much call for them, I suppose. How fast would trains be running now, if only people had listened to him?
  19. I'm not sure weeing would be a good idea... A flange lubricator, perhaps..?
  20. The plastic tank arrangement is a home-brewed automatic flange lubricator - the track has numerous tight bends and the squeal could get rather annoying. The apparatus is zeroed at the start of each trip and it then counts the axle revolutions during each trip. Water is then automatically sprayed on the bend sections. It actually seems to work quite well in terms of reducing the squeal.
  21. Some friends were involved in a book launch at Amerton Railway today, so I took the opportunity to take a few snaps. http://amertonrailway.co.uk/
