I've asked them if they're going to put it on the Enterprise - but no answer has been received yet..

    New IÉ logo...

My thoughts - exactly!....... Maybe they'll only display it on certain days through the year..?

    New IÉ logo...

Has any business ever been turned around by a new logo? Are they going to put it on the side of the Enterprise? Back to plug-and-socket-on-orange when I take over...

Will the engine drivers have to wear ties?

    New IÉ logo...

Well, I asked them - There are rumours of a new logo. Is this likely to be true? The reply that I've just got is - Yes it is true. On our new timetable Bloody hell...!

Done - I will report any reply here. Damn!
  10. Great shots. Those figures are some of the very best I've seen - has the driver got a can of lager, though..?

Classic modern bullshit-management distraction technique - if the Titanic went down tonight, they would have a bloke up the funnel painting a different-shaped star on it as it slipped under the water...

  13. It now seems that, as I suspected, it was all an unfortunate accident - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21088672 - I hope she ends up OK..
  14. No Spitfires found, so far - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-21074699 - some other sites to look at yet...
  15. And do the NRM, as well..?
  16. Hornby R4057. Nearest I can find.
  17. I do hope so - I have one, too. I do like the way it comes apart - ideal for painting - and opening doors, too.. I'm going to use it anyway - it 'looks' right to me..
  18. Fantastic find!! "Some of them weren't enthusiastic rail travellers"..? "..like you'd see on the Tokyo subway.." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwbPdF5dIgQ
  19. Yeah, it's been on before - a few weeks ago..
  20. The remains of the Ballybrophy on, not long before it went..
  21. There was one round here a few years ago, but I never saw it move. Another friend had a Moskvitch in the '70s. And, obviously, lots of Skodas at one time.
  22. Friend of mine had a Wartburg - very exciting - three-cylinder two-stroke and a free-wheel, so no engine-breaking - take your foot off the throttle and it just goes silent and carries on going....
  23. The steering was a bit heavy at parking speeds. Different gearbox to a Lada - it was a column-change box, but with a floor mounted lever - quite slick, really - except when the rod broke and left me with only third and fourth for 200 miles - got there, though. Never had a window problem - very low-geared though, about ten turns top-to-bottom. And the 'unofficial' hand-throttle. And the double-skinned floor at the back, almost a foot of hidden volume underneath it.....
  24. Some of us are taking these things seriously..
  25. Another bridge strike in Portarlington today. Getting fashionable again...
