Does anyone have a copy of Norman Johnstons GNRi locomotive book for sale as it seems to be out of print. If not, is there a resource l can use to reference locomotives that is accurate?

Does anyone know who holds the copyright of the Late Rev John Parker and Norman Simmons. Both collections seem to held at an address in Godalming, Surrey. I have some of these photographs and am keen to know of the owner/keeper of his work. Another photographer is Rev. Drummond Gillespie......

Is it possible to replace 00 gauge wheels in OOWorks GNR locos and Dapol wagons without any body or chassis adjustment to achieve EM standards? Can it be done in a straight change-over?

On 1st May 1915 the ambulance train arrived in Omagh pulled by loco no. 178. Anyone any clue on the class of this 4-4-0 and anything on it's history?

Hi all, on a learning curve, from my experience I’ve learned a few things. These are personal views, so I’m not preaching fact..... Short shunting layouts are more demanding on ‘power flow’ than continuous layouts and are more prone to contact problems short shunting layout with a lot of points and insulated rail joints present challenges for locomotives pva and other liquids in and around pointwork is to be used with great care foam ballast underlay may not be the worst choice

Yes, I have a CDU fitted and everything has been fine up to the point where I introduce PVA mix for ballast. To be honest, I have put my wagons and loco's back in their boxes and they are now in a bedroom cupboard, I've walked away. I just lost heart in it!
