DJ Dangerous Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 Two retired-looking boxes snapped on an undeveloped parcel in Barranco del Inglés last Thursday, May 9th. They look to be NENU 4EG1 box no. 9941958 and I can’t make out the other. 1 Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 A 22G1 20' CAI (or former CAI) box spotted at the old favourite, the Chio roundabout, on Monday 13th May. Number TYMU-6351986. The "TYMU" and the final "6" appear new additions. Looks to have been adopted by TYMSA up in Valencia: https://www.tymsavlc.com/ And what gorgeous patchwork! 2 Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Not a container, but a hello to forest fires again, yay: Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted July 20 Author Posted July 20 Another non-container container-thread post, but a SAR mission this time. Sorry that the photos aren't great, but that chopper must have been at least 2km away. They were less than an hour before heading back to base, so hopefully they were successful. 1 Quote
MOGUL Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Hijacking your own thread, what kind of chopper was it? To keep things on course, here’s a nice new Blue CAI unit with ECS branding.. Blue CAI units seem to have started appearing on the XPO liner also, likely on lease to Samskip 3 Quote

Blue CAI units seem to have started appearing on the XPO liner also, likely on lease to Samskip I’m not great on helicopter models but it looks to be an AgustaWestland AW139. https://www.vesselfinder.com/es/vessels/details/111224501 https://www.myshiptracking.com/vessels/helimer-201-mmsi-111224501-imo-0 https://www.helis.com/database/cn/4227/ I like the older ECS branding a lot better. If only there were a model railway company out there who had the power to launch a range of non-fuzzy 45’ containers in both O and OO gauge… Oh well! Passing the Chio roundabout on the way to the vets yesterday evening and saw a Hamburg Sud 45R1 reefer, no. SUDU-8116531. Edited August 10 by DJ Dangerous 1 Quote
MOGUL Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Yep looks like an AW139 alright, bit of an ironic reg for a rescue aircraft based in that part of the world…. The Dapol ECS boxes are good if you can get hands on, they date from before the crappy printing but must be about 8 years since they were released Quote

Managed to find one or two of the classic ECS ones from classic Dapol, but wouldn't say no to some more... Quote

MOGUL Posted August 18 Posted August 18 There is a couple of their bigger brothers on the way to the coast guard over here in the coming months.. Although I think I will miss the S-92s, even if they do occasionally wake the baby heading south after taking off from the airport.. My sleep will be a bit better with the new AWs out of Weston 1 Quote

Mol_PMB Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Looking through my old Irish photos I found one of 'my' boxes at Limerick in the early 2000s: Even back then, this was one of the older MOL boxes with the original livery. MOL is of course a compound acronym where the O is itself an acronym Quote
