DJ Dangerous Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 How about your ONE customer in the Canary Islands? Part of Spain but not part of the EU for customs and taxes. Postage also difficult due to the geography, usually more expensive. Quote

Junctionmad Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Have you considered implementing VAT DDP , it’s makes things very easy 1 Quote
murphaph Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Interesting developments. Nice options for people to lock in at their local currency. Is it desired for Eurozone mainland EU customers of IRM products to order this way or to continue to order through https://irishrailwaymodels.com/ or is it all the same to you guys? 1 Quote

Too many different VAT and customs regimes around the world. Easier to sell it as is and let the recipient pay tax on arrival. Plus, you have the incompetent boobs at An Post who are going to ignore the DDP paperwork as they frequently do, then Accurascale have to deal with even more work because of the subsequent claims. As well as multiple choice on the carrier used. For now we’ve set all purchases over £100 to the EU postage free to compensate for any admin charge on the vat collection 5 minutes ago, murphaph said: Interesting developments. BosKonay Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Ultimately it was taking so long to pack up EU orders, load pallets, export to Dublin from the UK, irish customs seems to ‘dislike’ uk exports in that direction and we ended up shipping EU orders weeks and weeks after the UK customers got theirs. Sounds painful. Wouldn't happen if your distribution centre was somewhere neutral. And sunny. 1 2 Quote
