Garfield Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 There are strong views I'd like to express about the proposal and those at the centre of it, but politics is one of the subjects specifically forbidden on the forum. The good news is that the government has rejected the idea. Quote

Reading between the lines is one of my special skills, I like to think - and I agree completely with everything that you have chosen not to say on this subject. Quote
Warbonnet Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 My favourite two things about this act of lunacy is 1. The people who voted for it in Kerry were made up largely of publicans and 2. It was explained as a way of saving lives by preventing suicide! So, of course it's okay that they kill themselves and others driving home hammered as it'll stop them killing themselves. Wowsers. heirflick Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 i do feel sorry for the old folks who live on their own in the middle of nowhere and have to drive maybe 5 or 6 miles just to socialise and have a scoup. they have a lonely life - and there is a lot of folk like that out there......could be us in years to come Quote
