Past-Avenue Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Hi all . I've recently started into 3d printing and have made a few small bits that were missing from my models ie...wipers/ horns and tail lights. All of these parts were either unavailable to buy or hard to replace. The tail lamps and warning boards sit onto the lamp irons just like the real thing and can be moved from loco to loco or wagons that have lamp iron details. I pushed myself and attempted to produce the double height beet wagon. I designed it from pictures and videos and to fit onto the Dapol prestwin chassis without any need for glue etc...and had positive feedback that it looked passable with the modelers licence. My idea is that, if you have a rake of prestwin chassis you can change the body's and keep your costs down. I am currently working on other projects that will suit the chassis so they are interchangeable. I have attached some pictures of the stuff that I've made and the costs below. If you would like anything please pm me. Thank Tail lights 50 cent each Warning boards €2 per pair Weathered beet wagon €20 primed beet wagon €15wipers and horns to suit MM 141s/ 071s 50 cent each Edited March 18 by Past-Avenue Updated 13 1 Quote

Coal body €12 Tanker €15 These sit snugly on the Dapol prestwin chassis witch can be purchased from Marks Models or other model shops. If you would like some of these or any of the other 3D items I'm doing please Pm. Thanks to Noel Enright for all the help in getting the information etc Enda Edited June 2 by Past-Avenue 7 2 Quote

Great work!! Thanks Galteemore and it's opened up a whole new way to model and make items yourself. At the end of the day it's about the enjoyment we get from it and not a competition. 3 3 Quote
Past-Avenue Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 Hi all. I've recently designed a NEM pocket height gauge for those who still do scratch building or just want to modifie there rolling stock. The gauge aligns the NEM pocket at the correct height and depth from the buffers and sits snugly over the rails. I also have the NEM pockets aswell in stock. I'm currently working on other types of NEM pockets for the lima boggies etc but not there yet. If you would like anything that I'm printing please pm.l 6 Quote

I had another look at this and wondered how they might look in company with the new IRM standard beet wagon. Or would they fit on the IRM triangulated wagon chassis? 1 Quote

Hi I'm not sure as I don't have any of IRMs chassis but I would be able to resize my wagons to suit if required and help people to achieve what they want for their layout. 1 Quote
