Eiretrains
Some nice photos on that page, the one of A23r passing an 'old' Monasterevin being very interesting.
Garfield
Brilliant find... love the photos of the Black & Tan locos hauling the Supertrain MkIIs.
heirflick
fantastic shot of a busy galway...always loads of motive power back then!
Blu Bianco
Wow, 148 is in there, haven't seen a pic of her in ages. One of the lesser photographed engines of the 141 class. These collections that pop up now and then are often a treasure trove of 'lost' or rare images. Someday a pic of 191 may turn up, who knows! Southern Yard
Wow...A mixed black and tan pair haven't seen one of those shots before. Great era with different liveries, motive power and coaches. Locos generally were kept very clean in the 70s , no odd doors to be seen on locos in those days. Is it just me or does anyone else think that the 121s looked really smart in the black and tan livery, by far their best livery. Made them very photogenic! Glenderg
Is it just me or does anyone else think that the 121s looked really smart in the black and tan livery, by far their best livery. Made them very photogenic! Yeah, fully agree, it was one of the smartest looking, and in hindsight of the grey and yellow sensible schemes. I am partial to the grey and yellow though... That "short goods train" photo is a classic though!
