spudfan Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I was just checking the data base and there is no mention of the green Lima "flying snail" CIE coaches produced in the early-mid 1980's. I've three running behind one of Paddy's black and tan 141's. I bought them when they came out and they stayed boxed until the 141 arrived to haul them. The coaches cost £4.99 each full price. Quote
spudfan Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Any photos spudfan? Will take some photos and put them up. Quote
Garfield Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I have one of these coaches in its box somewhere... picked it up at one of the RDS exhibitions years ago for a couple of quid. Must dig it out. Quote
BosKonay Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Lima did make a "mk1" in 1978 - it's here in the database http://irishrailwaymodels.info/index.php?main_page=coaches_info&cPath=2&products_id=69 Quote

minister_for_hardship Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Have the HO version with funny couplings and that awful elongated snail. Is it supposed to be a Laminate? The Cravens never came in green iirc. Quote
Weshty Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I have two, got from Trains, Boats and Planes in Cork in 1982, for the princely sum of Irl £4.50 each. Happy memories. Still have em, and still in their original boxes. Quote
