Garfield Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 excelent bit of entertainment - really enjoyed that! any idea where the clip was shot? Looks like Dunsandle...
Glenderg Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Laminates? Iarnrod Eireann Uniforms? Luas Tickets? Filofaxes? Me head exploded.
UP6936 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Is dunsandle a museum or is it someone's private collection?
heirflick Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 here you go......http://www.dunsandlerailwaystation.com/about-us.php
minister_for_hardship Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Private afaik. The remains of what once was Westrail.
heirflick Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 was going to buy the place a few years ago......but realised i had no money!
BosKonay Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Only 550k for neighbouring Rathville http://www.formerglory.ie/property-rathville-house.html
minister_for_hardship Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 It was, a sort of blood and custard scheme with 'whiskers'.
BosKonay Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Strange looking beastie in those colours alright
UP6936 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 It's a wee but like original Hunslet colours. Would actually be interesting to have a running e in preservation like that
jhb171achill Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 DCDR's E421 ran in a two tone green livery for some years. This was intended to portray what they might have looked like in BCDR ownership... since then it has been authentically repainted, of course.
