iarnrod Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Anyone know anything about what appears to be a new model producer? Still being set up by the looks of it. http://irishrailwaymodels.info Quote
GSR 800 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Could this be the thing we have been looking for? Would they produce an A a C and an 800? Most of all will they be as good as murphys? Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I think they may have a launch at the SDMRC in October? Quote
Broithe Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 The Facebook link is not available (to me) and the Twitter link brings up this - https://twitter.com/irishrailwaymod ..... Is it a manufacturer, or a retailer? That's a shop location, if they're using the ground floor.. Quote
GSR 800 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 It looks like a manufacturer to me broithe.....they must be on the forum Quote
Broithe Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 All will be revealed in good time, I expect. Quote
GSR 800 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) The thought of a ready to run 800 or A made me run around the house 10 times! Boy I hope their the 50s and 60s era. It about time that happened! Edited September 5, 2015 by GSR 800 Quote
iarnrod Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 The address provided on the web page possibly links to this company http://www.dublinmaildrop.com/frequently-asked-questions/ What is the mail drop business address? We will receive you mail in your name/company name at our address in Upper Baggot Street for example: Your Name/Company Name, 13 Upper Baggot Street, 2nd Floor, Dublin 4. Mail received for your attention will be place in a larger envelope and forwarded to you on a daily/weekly basis – however you wish. I did hear on the grapevine that there are 4 wheel ballast wagons being released at the October show, so may be linked to that. The cover photo on their web page does indeed show a train of these wagons. Quote

Interesting development, hope it's more Murphy Models standard rather than some fly by night job. Be interesting to see what comes of it. Edited September 5, 2015 by Warbonnet Quote
Glenderg Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I think someones having a laugh here, mainly me. Back in May of this year I set about with the RPSI to make blue and cream cravens, for a fundraising gig, not for profit, not for loss sort of thing. In order to avoid a whole bunch of taxes, vat, and so on, I set up the site to funnel all orders through it. The thing never came to pass, so chill out lads. I used Bosko's servers , as I do for my work emails etc., so no there will be no rtr turfburners. Ballast wagons indeed! R. P.s. 2000 posts yay! Quote

Warbonnet Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 it seems you cant get to the site unless your a member here Maybe something to do with the site owner organising the site space for Richie? This has already been explained tbh, you need to put your wishful thinking to bed me thinks. Quote
Weshty Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Warbonnet mentioned Tom Selleck earlier on in the thread Just so the younger crew amongst us understand the reference fully....ferraris, 'tashes AND hawaiin shirts Quote
