Sunday afternoon freight action on Ashburton grove..

The Class 56 hauls some ex works HAA hoppers to the wagon yard where they will be formed into a set.

When the class 56 got into difficulties while hauling the empty HAA hoppers-it was routed the the loop at Ashburton grove,

Assistance came in the shape of a single class 20 which in turn pushed the train and locomotive to the up siding,after detaching the 56 the 20 ran around and worked the train forward,

Sunday morning on Ashburton grove we see 37 251 propel the inspection saloon to the loop to allow a Leeds to Kings cross HST and a 56 hauled MGR train pass.

The Class 50 prepares to be coupled to the inspection saloon having previously worked a freight train to the factory sidings. 
Meanwhile-2x20s have charge of a summer Sunday special to the seaside.

The MGR train has been increased in size by adding two loaded HAA hoppers

The driver of the 08 has a busy evening ahead shunting wagons at the factory sidings.

A new arrival at the MPD on Ashburton grove…311131 is an essential mixed traffic locomotive and has added more variety to the locomotive fleet at the depot.
