Sulzer201 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Continuing with a bit of scenery using budget materials. Herbs and green paint for fields and match sticks for border fencing. Unfortunately one has to try come up with ways around expensive scenic materials.
Sulzer201 Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Apologies people - I meant to post this to the layout section. Can the mod help please?

Sulzer201 Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 Hi Boskonay, I have no track plan but just seem to add a little as we go along! It is a real shoe-string effort and a big learning curve. Thanks for all the support from yourself and the rest of the guys on here.

Sulzer201 Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 Thanks Kirley - I am a total greenhorn at this but trying to do best as possible with very limited resources.
Glenderg Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Budget materials are King, and it looks all the better for it. I used to do the same for grass, but I used to rob cheap poster paint from school, brown, green and tan. I'd mix each colour with sand, let it dry, and mix the dried sand to suit the grass colour I wanted. It might be a handy shoestring approach? Keep the photos coming, it looks great Richie.
