New 141/181's

Rate this question

Question

I was shooting the breeze with some lads at the Bray gig yesterday

Would there be any interest in a new run of 141/181's?

New running numbers and the 4 liveries

How many would need to be made and how many would sell

Also bearing in mind the forthcoming 121's and A Class's

Never say never, but the 141/181 tooling ownership means it's unlikely.141/181s

Agree, weren't the 141/181s done by Bachmann for Murphy Models at the time?

It is my understanding that PM owns the tooling
He learned the hard way, when Lima went bang and were bought by Hornby he could not get the 201 tooling from them as Hornby reckoned they owned it when the bought Lima and all their assets
Similarly when he did the N Class Jinty and green CIE coaches in conjunction with Bachmann, they brought out the Irish Railway set using his artwork etc
Lesson learned the hard way,

Hornby 201's on the way?

Whatever PM does, he will have a huge amount of support, as will IRM.

The debt of gratitude that we all owe to both for bringing us to where we are today is huge.

Hopefully, we will see more 141's / 181's some day in the not too distant future.
