Lovely loco, Fran. Spotted one running on the HO scale American layout at the show and it looked stunning!

Cheers lads, she's a stunner. The one running at the show was the MTH model. There is a bit of a rivalry between the two in the US, about as friendly as Celtic v Rangers!

That's a beautiful looking model Fran. The underframe detail is fantastic, it really looks powerful. It's well worth treating yourself to one. You have an eye for the good stuff.

I'd have to disagree. I think it is a most ugly design. Much better designs, IMHO, are the SD60M and the SD70M and I think that the retro liveries would look a lot better on these.

Haha yes I know that the SD70ACe/M-2's are aren't the prettiest of designs, but they've grown on me big time. Mind you I like pig ugly locos, like the Freightliner 70 etc. I think what Rich and the others was saying was that it's a lovely model, and I don't think I have a model that gets near these for detail etc.

I stand corrected. As a model of a 'pig ugly' loco it is excellent!
