  2. Some great photos there, well spotted
  3. You have great patience lad, maybe move that hammer though, I know the temptation from previous hobbies, I was looking forward to tackling kit building in the future, now I'm hooked.
  4. Guinness is good for you And some Jameson
  5. Nice pics there Derek and I have to agree with you about those wagons, they are top drawer, I love them too.
  6. Yes all of the above sounds like one of my thought processes, if I could pick up a wheel somewhere I could cut it in half, that would be a good start
  7. Nicely done.
  8. I will have to address the block situation, I don't know what the best option is visually, maybe a fascia across the bottom covering the blocks? Or even an artist's impression of wheels and all the other ironworks?
  9. I was thinking about it but then I also thought about smoke and dust etc, not ideal for a layout If I put it on wheels then maybe some of you lot would arrive with a low loader
  10. Haha thank you kindly sir, I'm enjoying the build in between the rain showers but I'm afraid the inside is going to look more comfortable than it was originally, I think those old vans were very chilly in the winter!
  11. So tempted by the J15 but out of my league I'm afraid
  12. Ta dah... Not an exact replica but good enough for me
  13. A miserable day outside so time for some metalwork, I needed a handle for the door on the left as in the picture, had some round bar and some flat, a bit of cutting, bending, welding and painting and the result. I will try to fit it later if the weather permits.
  14. Good start, I'm going to have to take the plunge because I really don't like my locos, coaches and wagons looking like new all the time, were you worried about the result Patrick?
  15. Haha don't be giving the maestros here ideas You're some stirrer Derek
  16. Beautiful display
  17. Lucky you today
  18. It doesn't look too bad in the sunshine, I'm hoping to get the inside finished in the next couple of weeks.
  19. Lovely photos again, the bottom one could be a scene out of an old East German movie
  20. 5 foot 4 does seem high, you must be a very tall lad!
  21. Beautiful photos
  22. Well wear Oisín, happy birthday lad.
  23. Coming from a man of your modelling talents I'm humbled, I have to agree with you about the liveries Patrick, they are top quality.
