  1. Absolutely, it really adds to the personal touch of a layout. Glad your enjoying the progress
  2. In the latest update I have spent the last while working on a number of scratch built cottages which face onto the road which will run the rear of the layout. The is still more details to add before painting. Also the view on the last picture, I plan to cut the backscene to allow viewing up along the street with the chance to see some train movements in the background toward the bridge. Your thoughts as always are appreciated. Chris.
  3. Thank you very much. If only I'd a sound chip for her.
  4. Turn of my NIR 201 to get the weathering treatment with the pending arrival of the NIR mk2's.

  20. One of the strippers I use does state that it can be used on resin however I have never used it on such a surface. I'll include a link for you to make your own determination. https://eirehobbies.com/products/paint-remover-240-ml?_pos=1&_sid=53296aa35&_ss=r
  21. IRrailways offer a weathering service for all locomotives ranging from faint to heavy. To the customers own requirements. Below are a few examples. DM for enquiries and pricing.
  22. I'll try go back and find the article for you @DJ Dangerous. But just to clarify my position, I think technology like this would be of more benefit as like I have stated we would be converting various vehicles already in existence environmentally.
  23. I'm not saying hydrogen is the answer but I think in this age we can create a fuel to use in a combustion engine that would produce zero emissions, using vehicles already in existence without spending six times more emissions to build an EV, hybrid waste of time
  24. Plus we don't have the power generation ability as a nation to supply the draw of power required to charge an electric vehicle for everyone. It would be the ultimate recycling or green eco friendly or insert term here move to use and convert modes of transport that have already been produced.
  25. I think this is deadly. Instead of all that EV nonsense which cost more to produce in emissions then regular combustion the likes of conversion of regular engine to fuels like these will help offset the emissions they have already produced over their lifetime. Jcb has done similar tests and proof of concept work themselves. Plus it would be a true testament to these locomotives if they served the network past 100
