  1. Probably used to people falling for her all the time.
  2. Fabulous. Hope Mr Weaver was in the mood for it.
  3. My son is a daily commuter into London (and is a professional railwayman to boot). He has a choice of routes and opts for these whenever he can above more modern offerings!
  4. Unlikely I’d say. She’ll be on the Cravens down south and Mk2s up north if she heads there.
  5. Tippex just refers to the white stripe, so it’s a fairly easy spot! Post 1987 I think. Sorry - posted simultaneously with @WRENNEIRE!
  6. That’s fabulous. Well done!!
  7. Nothing less than £600 for the pair Tony. Are you really sure you want to sell ? These are like hens teeth!
  8. Is that the one Denis Bates did? I think it even made it on to Adavoyle.
  9. That’s very smart. Although wasn’t 84 ‘Lissanoure Castle’? The cast plates do look very good.
  10. 216 - the Belmond loco - was on 1900 ex Dublin tonight
  11. Yes, Skerries loop, R&L. Very nice runs; Dublin-Drogheda-Dundalk-Skerries-Drogheda-Dublin. Agreed, great to see RPSI trains so well supported. .
  12. Easter Bunny trains for me today, back home from GB for a bit and doing some RPSI fundraising! Absolutely stellar running from 131 and her crew. 171 will have a hard job to beat her…and nice to see both @airfixfanand @jhb171achillin the flesh again…..after thirty years in the latter’s case. I may have taken the chance to take the odd detail pic….
  13. It’s an OO works CBSCR loco. Now out of production. https://www.ooworks.co.uk/reviews
  14. Yes, but 90 was designed for passenger work from day 1. 3BG is designed to move loose coupled trucks slowly over small distances…..
  15. Now that’s very nice. And very useful views of the Poppy jig. I have one for a few projects which will involve 1/8 axles but not used it yet. Good tip re biro spring…..
  16. Absolutely. For years afterwards, Dublin wags would go to the ticket office in Harcourt St and ask for ‘a single to Hatch St’……
  17. No expert, but guard iron (normally vertical in front of wheel to sweep debris off track)circled in green. Sandpipe (to put sand on wet rails) in blue
  18. I think the guard irons and sandpipes might disagree!
  19. Delightful afternoon with @Patrick Daveyand @Tullygraineyenjoying some splendid modelling and Craic. Great to meet them both in person and talk modelling.
  20. Many hurdles…main line safety gear, coal and water capacity, air brakes, limited speed. 3BG has done railtours before, but very different era and standards ! Joe Cassells pic from RPSI site
  21. IIRC York Road station also had them. One of the last duties of the WT class was the annual test of the hydraulics - presumably by allowing the Jeep to push against them.
