  1. Lovely looking model Anthony, do you mind me asking what paints you used for the silver and green and where you got the transfers; I have a 150 sitting in its box that I've been threatening to do something with for ages:D
  2. Looks brilliant as always Anthony:tumbsup:
  3. Fiddly bits.......?
  4. If you read what I wrote you would see that I stated that cycling requires the skill of the cyclist along with that of the manufacturer; would you get anywhere on a bike made by a cowboy:). Like I said you can't really compare the two, its been said that soccer is a gentleman's game played by thugs and rugby is a thugs game played by gentleman so it would be easier to compare the two.
  5. Cycling requires a 'machine' so is more based on the manufacturing and skill of the bike maker than solely the skills of the cyclist (which are still required), soccer requires a skill from the player, the ball (or the 'bag of air' as my Dad calls it) has little impact. Both are completely different really so it is difficult to compare them and besides; if all men were cyclists there may be a shortage of children in the near future:ROFL:
  6. As good a job as Trap has done to get us to the Euro's, with a very limited squad, in fairness a photocopier could do his job at this stage; any one of us could have named his starting 11 for this match around 2 years ago, let alone a week before. He insists on picking the same players despite them making the same mistakes every game. The purpose of playing 2 defensive midfield players is strange, neither of them can pick a pass to save their lives, at least Gibson can. I think O'Shea and Dunne in central defence with Stephen Kelly at right-back would be a stronger defence too, St Ledger can't even make the Leicester team, though to be fair he has done relatively well for us in the past. Rant over:D
  7. I knew they were going to a good home:)
  8. Glad to see some of the models got out of their boxes:). Layouts coming along very nicely too!
  9. Looks like its going to be an excellent layout Wiggy, nice amount of rolling stock too:)
  10. Layout and models look brilliant, more video's please=D
  11. I think there was one in Model Rail a few years back when they did an article on the IE mk3's, as far as I can remember anyway:D
  12. As far as I know only the 121's and 201's were fitted with door controls too so when they were being used as standard coaching stock with 071's and 141/181's a guard had to stay in the driving trailer to operate the doors.
  13. I use the Hornby Elite and have never had any issues with it, its easy to use also; but I've never experienced other systems so I wouldn't know what to compare it to.
  14. The layout and stock looks brilliant:tumbsup:
  15. I was delighted to see City winning it too but after tonight's behaviour from Tevez I think he'll be shown the door fairly rapidly. As a Newcastle supporter its been a great season too, Europa League for us, its much better than relegation:). I fLiverpool try to buy our 'best' players I think this time we should just sell them Shola Ameobi because at least they can't make him much worse than he already is:p
  16. If the motor and worm gear are spinning freely then it could possibly be an issue with the connecting rods on the main wheels being slightly out of sync.
  17. That's a nice job for a kids layout, the Cravens with the passengers look great; giving me ideas
  18. Was this the one from around 1990 when he travels on the RPSI steam train (slieve gullion?) and talks about the Peace train? If so I have it on DVD somewhere, my Dad got it as a present a few years ago; I think its a box set of Michael Palins railway journeys.
  19. Lovely model, it looks fantastic and a great weathering job too:)
  20. It is, they're putting one in at Sallins too. It looks a fairly long spin up the ramp for someone in a wheelchair:eek:
  21. Anyone know if 112 is being released as it was when with IE, with the modifications such as the LED lights? I remember seeing it pulling a rake of mk2d's on an early morning train to Heuston and stopping in Sallins. Even then it made a change from the 201's and mk3's, now look what we have:(
  22. The site looks great lads, well done to all involved and hope it goes well:)
