Remaining Class 92 and Mark 5 Delivery Update
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in British Outline Modelling
Happy camper to receive this parcel in the post today. Wow. Something else. The A's were special, but the definition and detail on this seems to go up a notch. And it's whisper quiet. Thing could murder you in your sleep. -
I received an email from Rails of Sheffield saying that Cavalex are releasing a Class 60, currently at tooling stage. Wonder if anybody else will beat them to the punch.

Sounds like two more, on top of the first two... As @Maynersays, it's the political fallout, the trains being delivered two years behind schedule, plus the indirect costs. Much as they claim no financial loss, that's extremely unlikely. On top of that, there's a loss of confidence in those responsible. If they get this wrong, what else can they be trusted with? So out with the guillotine!

Hopefully they make an exception in an effort to cool down the resale market. Locos going for €500 and €600 is a tad bit much.

Rails of Sheffield have very frequent sales so if not snapped up by somebody, it might go on sale.

There are a lot less retail options than there were ten or eleven years ago, plus, I'm not so sure that Adverts.ie is an auction site. I assume that post was to identify this thread as the non-eBay one, in which case, it's going pretty well! Rails ROG Class 47 20% off using code ROG20, only until Sunday 26th February: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/class-47812-rail-operations-group Valid on all three variants; DC, DCC sound and custom weathered.

No.4! P47 with some limited edition Boluda Lines 45' boxes!

I must confess that I would be happy with a relatively quiet IRM year. 1. Two-tone green Dublin buses announced this month, in stock late March or early april. 2. GSR 800 Class announced next month for delivery in 2024 Q4. 3. Bubble re-run announced in May for delivery in Q4 this year. 4. P47 announced in July for delivery in 2024 Q3. 5. 071 CAD-only announcement in August for a hopeful (but not promised) delivery in 2025. 6. A new coach range announced in September for delivery in 2025 Q1. 7. A second bus run announced in October, due in stock before Christmas, either yellow and blue or cream and blue Dublin buses. Happy days, I can survive the year!

Irish Transport Slideshow

Nice slideshow of Irish transport photos. Mainly buses and trams. Quite a few Leyland LD looking vans. Nobody seems to do them in 1:76, only 1:43. Curious about the bus around 00:52. Looks like one of those EFE Leyland Atlanteans.

The Supra under the canopy! What a shot!

I'd like to see some Darius compilations on YT. I could sit back and watch your clips for fifteen minutes and still be glued to the screen.

A few random boxes just before the turn-off for Ifonche, at the bottom of La Escalona just now. There are some sort of apparently abandoned construction projects on both sides of the road, so I'm assuming that these boxes have been bought / borrowed / rented / stolen for something to do with the projects. -
Baccy = Bachmann.

You could always buy shares in IRM.

Probably defeats the purpose of the streamlining. Too many different VAT and customs regimes around the world. Easier to sell it as is and let the recipient pay tax on arrival. Plus, you have the incompetent boobs at An Post who are going to ignore the DDP paperwork as they frequently do, then Accurascale have to deal with even more work because of the subsequent claims.
